Portland Trail Blazers
PORTLAND, Ore. -- On a night when the Denver Nuggets took down Portland's short-lived NBA record for 3-point futility, the Trail Blazers survived. The Nuggets went 0-for-22 from beyond the 3-point arc, shattering the mark the Blazers set 10 days earlier when they finished 0-for-20 in a win over Toronto. Even so, Denver pushed Portland to the wire before falling 101-93 Thursday at the Rose Garden. Nicolas Batum scored 11 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, and Portland (12-12) held off a Denver rally to record its fourth straight win, all in the midst of a six-game homestand. The Blazers prevailed despite shooting 35.9 percent from the field and losing the battle in rebounds (59-50), points in the paint (74-28) and fast-break points (31-7). "Weird. Ugly," Batum said, offering a description of the game. "We got the job done, but it was ... interesting tonight." "Sometimes you throw the stats out," Portland coach Terry Stotts said. &quo...

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard drove straight down the lane and threw down a monster one-handed jam that brought the Rose Garden crowd to their feet during Thursday night's game against the Denver Nuggets. Two Nuggets defenders were in position under the basket, but they both seemed to get out of the way as Lillard approached the hoop, allowing him to score easily...
Someone might want to check the rims at the Rose Garden. Just 10 days after the Blazers set a dubious NBA record by missing all 20 of their three-point attempts in a win over Toronto, the Nuggets have broken it in the very same building. On the eve of the apocalypse, Denver went an astonishing 0-22 from beyond the three-point arc, but that’s not all. Until the 38-second mark...
The Denver Nuggets are the latest team to release their video and all the team lends their singing voice in this video. Ty Lawson, Danilo Gallinari, Andre Iguodala all sing your favorite Christmas Carols. I could listen to JaVale McGee every night with that luxurious voice. The post JaVale McGee Leads Denver Nuggets Christmas Carols (Video) appeared first on The NBA Mistress.

The Denver Nuggets have had a plethora of talented players donning their uniform, but who are the five greatest Nuggets to ever play in the Mile High City? First, there is an honorable mention, and one of my personal favorites, Fat Lever, a heavily underrated player whom I have dubbed “Denver’s Magic Johnson” as he [...]The post NBA History Profile: 5 Greatest Denver Nuggets...
The Denver Nuggets are the latest team to do a terrible Christmas video. Not sure how these things are going viral, because not one of them is good, and at the same time I can't stop watching and posting them? It's killing me. Watch the Nuggets make a fool of themselves below.
Who's worse, Denver Nuggets, AC Milan, or the Houston Rockets?
George Karl comes from the same "Larry Brown School" as Gregg Popovich, but that's about it when you compare their coaching styles.
Karl has coached his teams Nuggets teams the same way - a high scoring mentality that has them running and defending the paint as best as they can.
Gregg Popovich prefers a philosophy of playing to his team's advantages whether...
Portland Trail Blazers general manager Neil Olshey stepped onto the court with Damian Lillard before Thursday night's tip-off and the crowd, a crowd that hasn't had much to celebrate the last few years, let itself be heard.
The moment was meant to present the point guard with Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors, but the meaning behind the quick, intense burst of...
It’s no simple task to accurately rank this year’s Portland Trail Blazers‘ squad, and their performances over the last week exemplify this statement.
With games against Toronto, San Antonio and New Orleans on tap for Portland, it seemed feasible they’d be able to escape the week with at least two wins. San Antonio possessed (at the time) the best record in the...
Need that last minute Christmas gift? What about trying to fill that stocking left over the fireplace?
Well fear not and quit your worrying because the Denver Nuggets have the perfect gift with the "Nuggets Holiday Jam" in what is seemingly in 8-track form.
What loved one would not want to hear their favorite holiday songs sung by Kenneth "The Manimal" Faried...
We have told you before that you need to look out for Damian Lillard, and now that he is pretty much everywhere you can’t ignore him. Lillard not only had 12 points and 10 assists in the Portland Trail Blazers 101-93 win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, but he also had the dunk of the night. We will ignore the fact that there were only three games played on Thursday...
The Denver Nuggets set a NBA single-game record by missing all 22 of their 3-point attempts during their 101-93 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday. Ironically, Portland previously held the all-time mark for 3-point futility by going 0-for-20 behind the arc in a victory over Toronto earlier this month. On the flip side, the Blazers rained down three's during their affair...
Denver Nuggets fans were pretty pumped and ready going into Thursday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, despite my warnings this could be another situation where Denver played down to the competition. That’s exactly what happened and then some. After a feel-good win over the San Antonio Spurs, Denver came out abysmal, effortless, and looking [...]The post Denver Nuggets...
J.J. Hickson had 18 points and 18 rebounds for his sixth straight double-double, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Denver Nuggets 101-93 on Thursday night.
Nicolas Batum had 22 points to give the Blazers their first four-game winning streak of the season despite missing forward LaMarcus Aldridge because of a sprained left ankle.
The Nuggets were 0 for 22 from 3-point range...
After coming up clutch over the weekend, Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers find themselves on the verge of their first four-game winning streak in two seasons.
Keeping things going, though, could prove difficult with LaMarcus Aldridge sidelined.
Hoping to overcome Aldridge's absence, the Trail Blazers try for an eighth home win in nine matchups against the Denver...
