With the firing of Avery Johnson, fingers started pointing at All-Star point guard Deron Williams. When Williams was with the Utah Jazz, he was blamed for the departure of head coach Jerry Sloan. Now that Avery Johnson has been fired, the blame game is back on Deron Williams.
The Utah Jazz has an official Twitter account. They provided their opinion on the whole coaching scenario with the Brooklyn Nets. In a way, they took a quick and subtle shot at Deron Williams while they could. They tweeted,
#PhilJackson won’t go to Brooklyn. He’ll only go somewhere he can win a title. Not interested in good players, he wants great players. #NBA
Ouch! Shots fired or what?! That tweet was definitely aimed at Deron Williams. Absolutely. Who else played for the Jazz and became a headache and is now on the Brooklyn Nets? The obvious answer is, well, Deron Williams.
