Bleacher Report:
Oklahoma City and Minnesota have completed a deal that will send veteran Thunder guards Chucky Atkins and Damien Wilkins to Minnesota in exchange for center Etan Thomas and two second-round picks next year.
This trade sheds rarely used guards for more depth and experience in the paint, something the Thunder roster was desperately needing. Minnesota gets a veteran presence for a backcourt loaded with young players.
Thomas averages six points, about five rebounds, and one block per game in his career. While these numbers don't jump off the stat sheet, like a Howard or Shaq, he does bring a strong presence to the Thunder's interior defense.
