Oklahoma City Thunder: Kevin Martin Must Step Up Or The Thunder will Lose By Mike Elworth: Publisher and Owner at Hoopstuff… The Oklahoma City Thunder lost game 2 to the Memphis Grizzlies, tying the series at 1-1. Once again, the game went down to the final minutes, but this time, Memphis came through. The Thunder lost despite an incredible performance from Kevin Durant, who had 36 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. He was equally excellent in game 1, when he had 35 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. The difference? Kevin Martin. In game 1, Kevin Martin had 25 points on 8-14 shooting, but in game 2, he only had 6 points, on 2-11 shooting. With Martin struggling in game 2, besides Durant, the only other Thunder player who did anything, was shockingly, Derek Fisher. At the end of the game, Durant struggled mightily, as he was constantly double teamed, but nobody else could hit a shot, so he had to do everything by himself.
