Found January 04, 2013 on Pacers Pulse:
Yes, the Pacers got beaten pretty badly by the Celtics (94-75), but I wasn't too cut up about it. It was, honestly, just one of those games. The Celtics commentators will praise the Boston defense for holding the Pacers to 31.8% shooting, the truth is that the Pacers simply missed a lot of open shots. Nothing was falling. Not even the free throws. The Pacers actually executed well early on and got a bunch of open shots, but they just couldn't hit anything. Eventually, the confidence started to drop and it just kept dropping, resulting in the final score line. Even when they were getting pummeled the Pacers hustled hard and kept crashing the boards. Their inability to stop Kevin Garnett (who was ejected in the fourth for a flagrant 2 on Tyler Hansbrough) and Rajon Rondo was expected, but the turnovers from weak passes did hurt. Anyway, the now 19-14 Pacers will look to move on quickly with a home against the Bucks, whom the Pacers have lost against twice already t...

Bradley's return shows he is not the team's savior

Avery Bradley made his return to the court Wednesday in the 93-83 loss to Memphis, and he brought a little reality with him. The team did show some flashes of confidence with number zero back and had more fight in them than the previous few games, but one thing became clear as the game progressed: Avery Bradley is not the savior of the Celtics. Granted, he only played 20 minutes...

Some Celtics Players Laugh And Joke After Losses Causing Concern

One thing that is apparent after the last three games: The Celtics don’t yet trust each other. That’s not to say that Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and Rajon Rondo don’t trust each other; they do. They don’t trust some of the newcomers, and Garnett made that clear after Sunday’s 118-96 loss in Sacramento. The Celtics are not on the same page. Some players continue to laugh...

The Celtics we saw last night could win the NBA title, Version 2.0

Click here to read the original version from yesterday.  In the first half last night the Celtics played exactly as you might expect for a team on the road against a quality opponent on night two of a back to back, and they trailed the Hawks by 15 at the break.  But it the second half Boston exhibited the same defensive intensity we saw the day before against the Pacers. After...

The Best of Tommy - Pacers 1/4

Tommy is such a treasure. The man has been a Celtic for over 50 years. He loves the Celtics and I love that about him. Other teams' fans may bemoan the fact that they get the Celtics feed, but I hate listening to anyone else. Tommy started out with this gem: On Rondo's importance to the Celtics "He has to be, in an essence, the rabbit for the greyhounds.Let'...

Postgame Recap

Serves hot dogs and leads the teamall in the same night The Celtics have finally put together a performance they can be proud of and against a worthy opponent too. Pacers-Celtics Preview

Paul George and the Central Division-leading Indiana Pacers aren't thrilled with their latest performance. At least it came in a win, which is something that has eluded the Boston Celtics over the last week. Coming off one of their worst shooting performances of the season, the Pacers try for a rare road win in Boston on Friday night while sending the Celtics to a fifth straight...

Pacers 95, Bucks 80

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Pacers didn't let their loss at Boston on Friday stop them. They were right back in the winning department a day later. The Pacers used a 25-point third quarter to get some breathing room in their 95-80 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday. The victory made up for a brutal performance against the Celtics the day...

Celtics Close 15-Point Deficit to Defeat the Atlanta Hawks 89-81

For the second consecutive night, the Boston Celtics (16-17) find a way to come out victorious in a back-to-back setting beating the Atlanta Hawks (20-12) 89-81. Doc Rivers’ team experienced a tale of halves tonight. To start off the game the Celtics were horrific with no rhythm on offense and a lack of defense. Bucks-Pacers Preview

The slumping Milwaukee Bucks have already beaten the Indiana Pacers twice but both of those games were played on their home floor. For Saturday night's matchup, the Bucks have the more daunting task of traveling to Indianapolis, where the Pacers have won six in a row. Milwaukee snapped a five-game skid to Indiana with a 99-85 win Nov. 14, and Brandon Jennings' season-high...
