The Indiana Pacers lost to the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday by the score of 109-87. It was the third largest margin of defeat for the Pacers. It was the second straight loss for the Central Division leading Pacers, who fell to 46-15 on the season. An area of potential concern for the Pacers is the injury status of small forward Paul George, who played through the last two games with back stiffness. Christophe95 via Wikimedia CommonsAs reported by Candace Buckner at indystar.com, George fell on his tailbone Sunday and played 40 minutes through the pain on Tuesday.  His back stiffened against the Bobcats and he struggled in all phases, missing all nine shots from the floor, committing five turnovers and four personal fouls."I was just tight. Last night I was able to get through it just off adrenaline and then two nights of playing really put a lot of stress on my back tonight. I was sore and I tried to play through it, thinking it would loosen up but it was a tight ...

Tweet Indiana Pacers guard/forward Paul George is on the brink of super stardom. It’s only fitting that he would want the NBA’s premier player to help him reach that status. In a recent interview with Basketball Insiders, George expressed his interest in having LeBron mentor him. “It would be great to be able to pick his brain, pick his mind and just talk about the game...

George is looking for a basketball mentor to help get him to the next level, and recently revealed that he wants King James to take him under his wing. It would be great to be able to pick his brain, pick his mind and just talk about the game because I think he’s a player that can help me get to the...

Pacers players hold locker room meeting after getting crushed by Rockets

Even after three straight losses, the Indiana Pacers remain the team with the league’s best record, though they’re now tied with Oklahoma City for that honor while sitting at 46-16 in the standings. But the last two losses have been troubling. On Wednesday, Indiana lost by 22 points to a Bobcats team that is five games under .500, and managed to hold Paul George to just two...

Is The Addition Of Evan Turner Hurting The Pacers?

The Indiana Pacers unraveling. The Pacers are struggling and its’ no coincidence that the NBA’s best team for most of this season has lost it’s identity since trading for former 76ers guard Evan Turner. You would think that the Pacers have no reason to worry with a 46-16 record.  This in fact is not the same Pacers steam that stormed out the gate and had people thinking they...

LeBron James is open to mentoring Paul George

Basketball Insiders- “Pick [my brain] like Hannibal Lector?” James said jokingly. “You know me, I don’t mind it at all. I don’t mind giving guys [advice], whatever he wants to ask. Guys know I have an open door/phone policy.” So apparently, Paul George mentioned that he would be interested in having King Bron-Bron mentor him this summer, to which King Bron-Bron said,...

Roy Hibbert wants Game of Thrones-inspired sword throne

We all know that Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert is a rather large individual and back in February, we noted his new bed was pretty sizable. Recently, Roy has decided that he wants another large piece of furniture in his home and it appears to be inspired by his love for Game of Thrones. Here are more details from Basketball Insider’s Jessica Camerato: With all these built-to...

Hibbert: We've Been Playing Awful

The Indiana Pacers were blown out by the Houston Rockets on Friday on national television by a final score of 112-86. When the two teams met on Dec. 20, the Pacers won by 33 points. "We're just putting the emphasis on trying to get better," Roy Hibbert said. "Since the All-Star break, we haven't been playing the best basketball. We've been playing awful...

Pacers Meet The Jefferson, Movin’ On Down

Oh man, rough night for matt's Pacers!  Al Jefferson just went absolutely bonkers, adding to his stretch of bonkertude giving Jefferson owners a huge boost for the playoffs.  Owning Roy Hibbert like an Entertainment 420 entrepreneur, Big Al shot 16-25 in a full multi-cat dance party of 34/8/3/1/1 and even hit a three!  Only his sixth of his career to pepper all the cats.  Over...

Pacers get annihilated by Rockets, should we panic?

The answer to my own question, after that 112-86 spanking by the Rockets, is "not yet, but close." I say that because there's still plenty of time for the Pacers to steer the ship back in the right direction after they just suffered their third straight defeat for the first time this season. At the moment, the most concerning thing is now the fact that the Pacers...

Bobcats upset Pacers at home, 109-87

The Bobcats took advantage of a Pacers team that just didn't have "it" on Wednesday night and made a statement behind another incredible performance from Al Jefferson. Coming into Wednesday night's game against the Indiana Pacers, the Bobcats were in the midst of their toughest stretch of games yet. They beat Memphis then lost to the Spurs, Heat and Thunder. None...

I don't even wanna talk about it: Pacers get spanked by Bobcats

The same Charlotte Bobcats the got lit up by LeBron James for 61 just a few nights ago made the league-leading Indiana Pacers look like the worst team in the league tonight.  It was embarrassing, from the 0-9 night by Paul George (he had a sore back that tightened up, but still) to the franchise-low 8-point first quarter. The 109-87 scoreline probably doesn't do the embarrassment...

Bobcats Best the Best, Beat Pacers by 22

(Photo Courtesy Jeff Siner - Charlotte Observer) Still struggling through the adversity of a 61 point effort by LeBron James just a few nights prior the Charlotte Bobcats knew they had to rebound fast before things began to get out of hand. Continuing an unneeded losing streak after a rough road trip would only hurt their possible higher playoff seeding. Who was the team...
