It's been less than a month since the San Antonio Spurs' last game -- and we know how that one turned out. Tony Parker, with plenty of time to decompress, analyze and reflect their championship run, talked with FIBA.com about the NBA Finals and his expectations with the French national team.
The Miami Heat have only lost one playoff series since LeBron James and Chris Bosh signed, though they have came dangerously close to dropping multiple times. Parker's Spurs couldn't suffocate the Heat when they had the chance, but he still expects to compete next year.
"We had a great season even if we lost in the Finals," Parker said. "Nobody expected us to reach the Finals again but we almost won the title. The games were incredibly good and both teams could have won the ring. The Miami Heat are an incredible team and won Game 7, but we're not inferior to them. The Heat made the difference on some details and the dec...

LAS VEGAS -- The signing of Manu Ginobili for two more years, which not so coincidentally coincides with the years left on the contracts for Tim Duncan and Tony Parker, was supposed to signal the end of their road.
The Three Amigos finally had an expiration date. Their truly amazing and unique run, stretching back to early this century, is coming to a close sometime in 2015.
The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a two-year contract with forward Jeff Pendergraph.
Pendergraph made the announcement on Tuesday before a workout at Arizona State, his alma mater.
The 6-foot-9 Pendergraph spent the past two seasons at Indiana, mostly in a reserve role. He averaged 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game last season with the Pacers, who reached the Eastern Conference...
Before suffering a knee injury recently, San Antonio Spurs 2013 NBA Draft pick, Livio Jean-Charles, showed he is quite the all-around athlete.
Not only can he light it up on the court, Jean-Charles apparently is quite the bowler and in this video, he is not shy about gloating he was able to make a strike.
Check out this video of Livio knocking down the pins. I just hope this...
Although Doc Rivers forever cemented his place in Celtics history coaching the team to its 2008 championship, it's easy to forget he suffered his share of devastating losses, too. In 2010, there was that Game 7 Finals loss to the Lakers. In 2012, there was the Eastern Conference finals 3-2 series lead that the Heat evaporated away.
So, it's fair to say that Rivers has experience...
Scott Agness of IndianaPacers.com recently wrote a one-on-one piece with one of the newest members of the San Antonio Spurs, Jeff Pendergraph. Pendergraph says he and his wife wanted to return to Indiana, but he...

Later that Thursday evening, Spurs General Manager R.C. Buford dispelled the rumor and said no such deal had been done. Since those three weeks, there have been multiple...
Scoring the basketball is definitely not an issue for San Antonio Spurs 2013 NBA Draft pick Deshaun Thomas.
Let’s just take a look at his last Summer League game against the Hawks to get a small sample of the different kind of ways he can put the ball in the basket.
Pick and Pop
There were three instances that Thomas looked very comfortable shooting...

On Saturday a report was released discussing how new San Antonio Spurs guard Marco Belinelli was awaiting 'permission' from the Spurs in order to represent his home country of Italy at the 2013 Eurobasket in Slovenia this fall.
Now according to Sportando, the Spurs have given Belinelli 'permission' to play this fall and represent his home country.
When the San Antonio Spurs drafted David Robinson with the No. 1 pick in the 1987 NBA Draft, they weren't exactly a "model" franchise.
San Antonio won just 28 games during the 1986-87 season -- only the New Jersey Nets, New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers won fewer contests -- but they also didn't adhere to any particular code of ethics. Robinson...
The San Antonio Spurs have done the heavy lifting on another offseason in which they re-signed their major free agents while adding pieces that fit into their system.
"We hoped to bring back the group that played pretty well this year and we were able to do that for the most part," Buford said. "We still have some pieces that we're waiting to see what happens....
The Summer of 2013 has been the Summer of knee injuries for several of the San Antonio Spurs’ young talent developing overseas. A rash of knee injuries has affected Davis Bertans, Adam Hanga and now Livio Jean-Charles.
Bertans recently went under the knife and even he seems surprised at his recovery, according to a message he posted on Twitter.
My knee is feeling so...

Clippers coach Doc Rivers (OK, that was weird to type) told the Boston Globe that Spurs coach Gregg Popovich called him after the Spurs' Game 7 loss in the NBA Finals to the Miami Heat and asked for advice on dealing with that kind of a loss.
So, that's pretty awesome for multiple reasons. You've got Popovich, who is supposed to be this all-knowing seer, seeking out...
