The San Antonio Spurs have one of the best records in the NBA at 33-11 but when it comes to beating top-tier teams, they have struggled. From Portland, Houston, Oklahoma City to Miami, the Spurs have not gotten that impressive win over a playoff bound squad. And as much as the fans may be worried about this pattern, guard Tony Parker says the team isn't panicing. During his French radio show, Parker weighed in on the team's less-than-stellar performance against the better teams in the league and had this to say. "There was no panic. We stay calm. There is still a lot of experience on the team, said Parker. It is no fun to lose games like that but we know that the big goal is later. We try not too take the lead and we hope that the injured players back soon after the All-Star Game (February 16 in New Orleans) to find a groove and play our best basketball at the beginning of the playoffs." Parker went on to state the team does struggles versus bigger, and more physical team but states the team will be fine come the postseason. "Many teams are more physical than us and that is normal, said the French leader in TP Show Monday. But we can be smarter and play together. We still lack three of the five major players (Tiago Splitter, Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard). It's hard in the big games but it has already been years where we finished first in the regular season and did not win in the playoffs. And people only remember that." Parker may be not panicing but this team cannot be losing to upper teams and have to send a message to the rest of the postseason bound squads. Without that signature win, the top teams will see the Spurs are vulnerable and give them a mental edge should they meet in big games like the NBA Finals. Are you in panic mode Spurs fans or do you agree with TP? (via RMC Sport)
