I am not really sure why anyone would want to be the next head coach of the Charlotte Bobcats. Well, apparently Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing wants the job. He interviewed for the job on Thursday.
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post Ewing has a good chance at the Bobcats head coaching job.
One person familiar with the situation said this was hardly a courtesy interview, that Ewing has a “good chance’’ of being Paul Silas’ successor….
According to a source, Ewing would not be considered for the head job with Orlando and it’s believed his relationship with maligned center Dwight Howard is not as tight as it used to be.
There is truly no word to describe how awful the Charlotte Bobcats were this season. That’s why you heard all the jokes around March Madness that Kentucky could beat the Bobcats. As the numbers will prove the Bobcats where one of the worst teams in the history of the NBA. The only hope for the Bobcats is to win the lottery and get Kentucky’s Anthony...

Most former NBA players simply go through the motions in order to receive a head coaching position. After a stellar playing career, all that's needed for most is a couple of seasons on an esteemed proven coach's bench to gain experience. After putting in the time, most men get an opportunity. That hasn't been the case, however, for Patrick Ewing, perhaps the greatest...
Orlando Magic assistant coach Patrick Ewing reportedly has a "good chance" of getting the Charlotte Bobcats head coaching job. The former New York Knicks star center interviewed for the Charlotte position Thursday and Friday the New York Post reported a source saying he has a good chance to land the job. Ewing has been an assistant coach with the Magic since 2007. He...
CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE
Neither the Lakers nor the Nets were the closest to acquiring the Magic big man at this season's trade deadline, and the team that almost nabbed him reportedly isn't done trying.
This is an exciting time of year for Charlotte Bobcats fans. Yea, it would be great if the team was actually still playing (and a lot more exciting). Right now the team has something that it didn’t really have much of all season—hope. There is talent on the team. Another tremendous talent is going to [...]
Dwight Howard will likely never interrupt one of his coach’s press conferences again before he understands the situation. Earlier this year, he learned that lesson the hard way. In what was one of the most hilariously awkward moments of the 2011-2012 NBA season, Howard barged in on a Stan Van Gundy interview and acted all buddy-buddy with him, all the while having no idea that...
Over the next few weeks Orlando Magic Daily will be taking a look at the things that went right and wrong this season as Orlando ended its season with a disappointing first-round loss to Indiana.
In late March, I decided to undertake a little project. The Dwight Howard maelstrom had calmed down and I wanted to find a way to recap the whole thing. I started a Storify of just about...
Stan Van Gundy is gone fishing and Dwight Howard is healing from an injury that took him out of the end of the regular season and playoffs, but that doesn’t stop the drama surrounding player and coach. ESPN The Magazine wrote a piece on Dwight Howard — appears on newsstands May 28th — in which [...]
Okay, now comes the part in which I have to examine the last four guys on the Bobcats’ regular rotation. And because I’m essentially looking at the worst four players on my favorite team, which was also the worst team in NBA history, I’ve got to be careful that this recap doesn’t quickly turn into [...]
