Beyond The Buzzer:
Pau Gasol has repeatedly sad he is not a quitter and he will make do with the situation he is in, coming off the bench, not seeing eye-t0-eye with Mike D’Antoni, and not meshing well with Dwight Howard on the court. However, he doesn’t remain as optimistic when looking ahead to next season, admitting he may ask for a trade.
According to the Los Angeles Times:
“If this coach stays and Dwight Howard remains with the Lakers,” I asked, “what about you?”
“It would be hard for me to deal with another season knowing the facts you just mentioned,” said Gasol, 32 and with one year remaining on his contract.
“So do you ask for a fresh start elsewhere?”
“It’s a possibility,” he said, “yes.”

Just one day after the Philadelphia 76ers lost Thaddeus Young for about a month, the Los Angeles Lakers will be without Pau Gasol for at least the month of February. Last night against the Brooklyn Nets, Gasol went to jump to defend a Brook Lopez shot, but got no lift and went down grabbing his foot. He stayed in the game the next possession, but you could tell he was injured. The...
It has been discussed ad nauseum that things aren’t working in Los Angeles for the Lakers this season. And Steve Nash has gone as far as to say that things probably won’t get much better in LA this season.
Lost in the Lakers struggles is the fact that Pau Gasol seems to be the odd man out in this new regime of the team. While Kobe, Nash, and Howard have logged many minutes in...
We’ve been down this road before with Pau Gasol and it just doesn’t appear to be in the cards this season for him and his owners. Last night disaster struck again in the form of plantar fasciitis, don’t try to pronounce it at home. What is plantar fasciitis? In short, your foot hurts when you have it, that’s all I know. As many of you astute fantasy owners also know by now...
We’re back again tonight for NBA FanDuel.
