Pau Gasol, injured. Easy Laker nation, don't have a heart attack! Repeat do not have a heart attack! This is not a career-ending injury. This is not even a season-ending injury. It is only a mere few weeks injury.  The Championship center recently injured his left index finger while practicing with Spain's national team and is recovering from minor surgery now. While he should only be out a few weeks, this brings up a very important question in my eyes: Where does his allegiance lie? Should it be with his NBA hometown team Los Angeles, or for his nation of Spain? I think each team should be allowed rights to him, but since he is at a high-risk of injury when playing for two teams is that right? Maybe not. I would take this into consideration: Since Los Angeles is paying him the big bucks he is receiving, that is where his main focus and allegiance should be.
