PLAYERS: Peyton Siva
TEAMS: Detroit Pistons
The Detroit Pistons announced on Thursday evening that they have assigned former Louisville point guard to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA Developmental League. Siva has appeared in 13 games with the Pistons, averaging 5.8 minutes. After being selected 56th overall in the draft, Siva earned a two-year contract with Detroit following a successful stint in the NBA Summer League in Orlando. Plenty of Louisville Cardinal fans had hoped to see Siva on Friday evening as the Pistons traveled to Orlando to take on the Magic. Unfortunately that won’t happen. Siva is expected to make his debut with Fort Wayne on Saturday as they take on Rio Grande Valley. The Mad Ants are 6-5 on the season.
