Phil Jackson won 11 NBA championships during his NBA coaching career with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers. Jackson reminded us of that fact Wednesday as he joined Twitter when he posted a picture of his championship rings as his avatar and referenced the 11 championship rings in his first tweet. At least, that's what we think the tweet was about.
Unfortunately, it looks like Jackson came down with a case of fat fingers:

We'll chalk this one up to Jackson being a Twitter rookie, and we're sure he'll get up to speed soon enough.

NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson has joined the social media ranks by creating a Twitter profile and his choice of avatar is awesome.
On Wednesday, the social media rejoiced upon learning that the old Zen Master himself, NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson, finally had joined the ranks of Twitter. The Twitter world was buzzing on Wednesday when word got out that legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson was joining the 140-characters-or-less club.
Even before typing a single tweet, Jackson had accumulated tens of thousands of followers.
Then his first cryptic tweet came through.
Was it a misspelling? Did he have one too many? Or was it simply one of those mind games the Zen Master...
Earlier this week, NBA Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson made his presence known on Twitter with a tweet that seemed to be impacted by a severe case of fat fingers. It's now become clear that we've all been duped, as his second tweet revealed that it was all a shameless plug for AOL.
Can't blame Jackson for taking the money, and the ad is amazingly clever on its...
While Phil Jackson shows off his 11 championship rings in the latest Twitter craze, former Lakers star A.C. Green finds himself missing three.

Legendary NBA coach Phil Jackson finally made the foray into social media, after it was announced by fiancee Jeannie Buss this past Wednesday that Jackson had joined Twitter. Two things you have to know about his first official day of tweeting—one is that his avatar is awesome in its simplicity, and two, Jackson has a lot to learn about Twitter.
First the avatar…
Phil Jackson joins Twitter, tweets jibberish
A verified Twitter account surfaced today for famed basketball coach Phil Jackson.
Ms. Jeanie Buss, his fiance and EVP of Business Operations for the Los Angeles Lakers, broke the news with the following tweet…
Please welcome Phil Jackson to twitter @philjackson11

I have to admit it I did not see this one coming. Phil Jackson joined Twitter yesterday and that in itself is a story. The first tweet from Phil Jackson is in fact a much better story. If you’re a hard-core techie and you hold that stereotype about senior citizens and computers…well you just got a lot more material from the 67-year-old Phil Jackson.
The legendary former Chicago...
NBA coaching legend Phil Jackson is good at self-effacing humor we learned today. The winner of 11 championship rings with the Chicago Bulls and the L.A. Lakers got off to a ROUGH start when joining Twitter a couple days ago. We all had fun at his expense, but Phil Jackson can take/make a joke about Phil Jackson.
His second tweet turned out much better. And offered an explanation...
You would have thought that Phil Jackson would have used some peaceful, zen-like scene from nature as his avatar on Twitter. Or a photo of Jeannie Buss. But nah, he rather show off his bling: Hey, I just figured out that Jackson could be like the NBA’s own version of the Mandarin with all those NBA Championship rings (he has one extra). With LeBron James rocking IronMan shoes,...
