I don't know what's funnier - that this is in the news (http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=14096), or that Al Horford is bitching about it: So it turns out that Boston Celtics' guard Paul Pierce may have a sizable debt to Atlanta's Al Horford. In talking with an Atlanta area morning radio show recently, Horford revealed that during the 2008 Playoffs, Pierce was trash talking at the foul line and insinuated that the Celtics would sweep the Hawks. Pierce went on to say they would not win a game and supposedly put $10,000 on the bet. If you recall that series went seven games and the Hawks gave the eventual champions all they could handle. Pierce apparently never paid up. "I haven't talked to him, but I know he owes me money," Horford explained to Mayhem In The Morning on 790 The Zone. "Marvin was a witness. We were at the free throw line and he was telling me that they were going to sweep us and all this and, you know, we bet and I never got anything." Teammate Marvin Williams says he heard Pierce make the bet, "He bet ten thousand we wouldn't win a game."
