The second unit has powered the surge, outscoring the starters in several games, and the reserves outscored Atlanta's backups 41-14, led by Daye. Greg Monroe added 18 points and nine rebounds for Detroit. Jason Maxiell had 10 points and 10 boards. Josh Smith had 20 points for Atlanta, while Al Horford had 18 points and 15 rebounds. Pistons surrender lead but hold on to beat Hawks on Star Wars night

The Force has been strong with the Pistons lately and that continued Friday night as Detroit first blew a 19 point lead only to go on and beat the Atlanta Hawks 85-84 from the Palace. It looked as though that large second half lead had completely evaporated when Al Horford hit a three pointer with about five seconds remaining to tie things up at 85 a piece. However after further...

Pistons squander another lead, hold off Hawks

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Building big leads doesn't seem to be a problem for the Detroit Pistons. Maintaining them is something they haven't mastered. Charlie Villanueva Fires Back At Isaiah Thomas

Charlie Villanueva fires back at Isaiah Thomas after the Kings point guard called him a “dirty player” following a Flagrant Foul Two during Tuesday night’s loss in Detroit: “Dirty player? Bobcats-Pistons Preview

Detroit Pistons coach Lawrence Frank wasn't pleased with how his team faltered down the stretch in its last game, but the result was yet another win. Continued production from the Pistons' bench could continue that run, especially with the lowly Charlotte Bobcats in town. The Pistons go for their first five-game winning streak in three seasons - and their sixth consecutive...

Comments from the Other Side - Hawks 1/5

This was a very satisfying win for the Celtics.  I love it when there are a lot of Celtics fans in opposing buildings.  Atlanta seems to be the best for that.   Lots of Josh Smith hate.  I'm not really sure why Celtics fans are ready to give up a ton to get this guy when the fans that watch him night in and out don't like him.   A fun game and some fun comments. ...
