Who is Chris Copeland? He was born in Orange, New Jersey in 1984 and went to college in Colorado. After his final year of college he shipped himself off overseas where he has been playing for the past 5 years in Belgium, Germany and Spain. Copeland also had a small stint in the D League back in 2006/07. chris copelandCopeland stands at 6’8 and weighs 224lbs and can play both Shooting and Power Forward positions quite well. He is an athletic type of player that can guard the bigger players if he had too, but could also spread the floor on offense with his range. Last season in Belgium he scored 21.8 PPG with a pretty handy .447 shooting from beyond the arc. Copeland also added 5.5 Rebounds per game and shot just under 80% from the line. This off-season, under the radar the Knicks brought in Chris for a work out.  Many Knicks fans searched Google high and low to find information on him. I found a video of him dropping 45 points last season and his skills really impressed me. I thought this guy could become a fan favorite with his Jamaican locks and athletic ability.

Should Knicks Start Jason Kidd Over Raymond Felton?

Jeremy Lin won't be making a return to the Big Apple next season, but Raymond Felton will be. After leading the Nets to back to back NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003, Jason Kidd will also make a return to the tri-state area as he too dons orange and blue for the Knicks this fall. With two quality point guards ready to compete for major minutes, is it obvious which one should...

Stephon Marbury Sends Unsolicited Email to GQ, With Photos of Statue in China

Say this for Stephon Marbury: He seems to be in a good place. Marbury, who started 74 games for the New York Knicks in the 2006-07 season only to have his career abruptly end just two years later at the age of 31, has managed to stay involved in the game that brought him fame and fortune. Unlike many other former NBA players who finish out their careers in Europe, Marbury headed...

Jason Kidd Might Still Be Capable of Helping Carmelo Anthony, Amare Stoudemire Coexist With Knicks

At 39 years old, Jason Kidd probably is not looking to become the next great New York Knicks point guard. Eighteen years into his NBA career, Kidd would be content to merely help the Knicks' apparently incompatible stars find a way to play together. And that could make him the perfect conductor of an otherwise dysfunctional orchestra. The Knicks were a mess last season, as they...

New York Knicks Keeping Baron Davis Around

After suffering a devastating right knee injury — a torn ACL and MCL — during this last season’s playoffs, 33-year-old point guard Baron Davis won’t be re-signed by the New York Knicks. It’s actually very likely that Davis will miss the entire 2012-13 season all together. However, Davis has very visibly hung around the Knicks’ players and organization all summer. He...

New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony: A Man On an Island or a Team?

The Knicks can sign players and trade players, but the team will sink or swim with the game of Carmelo Anthony at the helm. I’m not saying he has to do it all, I actually think he needs to do less. Having trust in his teammates is über important. Not many stars can have that trust. Speaking of trust, Alan Iverson was one of those players that had a hard time trusting his teammates...

Knicks' Carmelo Anthony wants team to have a gold-medal mindset

New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told the New York Post that he wants the team to have the same mentality Team USA had during its gold-medal winning effort at the London Olympics.   “I’m excited to get this thing going,” Anthony said. “Especially coming off this run we just had with the USA team. To be able to put that team together and still be able to accomplish...

New York Knicks: It Takes Two Two to Make a Thing Go Right

It takes two to make a thing go right; it takes two to make it out of sight. These famous words by Rob Base are fitting for Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony. Well, Ok not as famous as you think, but a classic line in a song from my generation. Amare to Melo and Melo to Amare are the keys to sustainable success in New York City and the Knicks. This task would be difficult...

Carmelo Anthony Says **** You

….twice.   I think the Melo stans are dwindling day by day. His inability to simply get the job done down in New York has minimized his reputation to just a cat that can give you 20 points any given night but it stops there. And to win a chip in the NBA you need to bring more to the table. But he paid right?

Steve Nash vs. Jason Kidd: Who’s better?

I can vividly remember playing pickup basketball as a kid. I was horrible back then. I had no athletic ability; I couldn’t jump, run or shoot.  The best attribute of my game was passing simply because I had no other options.  I can remember listening to guys shoot the ball, yelling “Kobe” as the ball goes through the net.  I used to wish that I had that ability.  I practiced...

Isiah Thomas Heads Back To School In Master's Program At Cal

If a course entitled “Front Office Management In Professional Sports” is offered at Cal Berkeley, keep an eye out for Isiah Thomas sitting at the head of the class. The former Detroit Piston and 12-time NBA All-Star turned NBA executive with the New York Knicks is enrolled at Cal as a graduate student and is about 10 units short of finishing his master’s degree...
