The Memphis Grizzlies are likely to hang onto Rudy Gay for the remainder of this season.
The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that Gay has been told that he likely won't be dealt -- unless the franchise receives an offer that it can't refuse.
From the Commercial Appeal:
According to a person with knowledge of those conversations, Gay is
likely to remain a Grizzly...
It's not often that a team with one of the best records in the NBA is trying to sell off its top scorer and arguably its best player, but that's what the Memphis Grizzlies are working on right now with F Rudy Gay.
From Rudy Gay to DeMarcus Cousins to Pau Gasol, the rumblings of major deals in the NBA are picking up steam as the league approaches the Trade Deadline on Feb. 21.
And one teams owner has become vocal in just how active his team will be over the next five weeks.
"I would say there's a 100 percent chance we'll do something," Dallas Mavericks owner said in an interview...
I realize that we’ve been reporting on Rudy Gay trade rumors like we’re ESPN covering Tim Tebow, but here’s a nice quote from Rudy Gay himself on the response he’s been getting from other players when he speaks with them about all of the trade talk (courtesy of SlamOnline.com via Yahoo! Sports):
“It’s hard to talk to [Rondo] because he is always saying, ‘We need you...
Rudy Gay, of the Memphis Grizzlies, has been on the trade block for quite sometime; it was just last week when multiple scenarios presented last week with Gay and even teammate Zach Randolph. Ronald Tillery of The Commercial Appeal reports Bradley Beal was a centerpiece for a recent offer: For example, the Griz have entertained the [...]The post Washington Wizards Reportedly Offered...
Did the Mavs just get their best win of the season? Could Dallas go after Rudy Gay? Are other deals in the offing? Would you rather have Marion or Carter in the clutch? Have we finally killed the Dirk trade talk? Monday Morning Donuts will try to help you answer these questions and more!
For the sake of not attempting to manufacture a controversy, we’ll lay out a comment from Kobe Bryant from October and a recent comment from Steve Nash and leave it at that.
Back in October, just days after Dwight Howard was traded to the Lakers, Kobe Bryant emphatically stated that the Lakers are “still his team.” At the time, Howard and Nash predictably backed Kobe in his...
Wizards rookie guard Bradley Beal has not been mentioned in trade discussions with the Memphis Grizzlies involving swingman Rudy Gay, according to Beal’s agent, Mark Bartelstein.
The Memphis Commercial-Appeal reported Monday that the Grizzlies have “entertained” an offer from the Wizards that would include Beal in a larger package.”I’ve talked to both teams. There is absolutely...
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Reserves Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes each scored 16 points, and the Clippers easily routed the Memphis Grizzlies 99-73 Monday night with Chris Paul missing his first game this season because of a bruised right kneecap.
The matchup between two of the best teams in the West wasn't close much of the way. While Paul watched from the bench, the Grizzlies...
Kobe and Vanessa Bryant didn’t give up on their marriage, but Magic Johnson has divorced himself from this Los Angeles Lakers season. Facing their 6th-straight loss against the Thunder on Friday night, the former Lakers legend called it a season for the Lakers as they trailed by 16 at halftime. “It’s over for my Lakers. No playoffs, no nothing,” The Lakers ended up losing...
The addition of Dwight Howard and Steve Nash has not translated into wins for the LA Lakers. Can they still make a push to reach the playoffs at 15-21 and 5 games behind the 8th spot?
After 36 games, the Los Angeles Lakers are 15-21 with a 6-game losing streak. They sit 11th in the Western Conference and are 5 games behind the 8th spot which the Portland Trailblazers currently...
I love jock fashion. Today’s athletes aren’t afraid to express themselves via fashion. Some days that works out really well and other times, it gives us great giggles! Let’s take a look at some of my favorite ensembles from last week. Thunder star Russell Westbrook was giving his best Martin Lawrence “You so Crazy” look, [...]
