Poor Greg Paulus, always getting dunked on

There was no shortage of ridicule heaped on Duke guard Greg Paulus during his basketball career. Some of it was probably deserved; there are certain chumpy things that, when done on a basketball court, will cause people to make fun of you. Greg Paulus occasionally did those things. (See here, for example.) But there were also plenty of times when Paulus probably didn't deserve the ridicule, when he was merely trying to help his team win in an honest and respectable fashion, but when he was ridiculed anyway. For example, every time he was dunked on. It's not like Greg Paulus can help that he's going to get dunked on, right? It's not exactly his fault. In retrospect, it was probably a little unfair of us. But that's all over now. Paulus has moved on to an unlikely football career, and we've all moved on to watching Jerry Stackhouse get embarrassed. Except for Virginia Tech.
