Found October 18, 2013 on Brooklyn Balling:
Brook Lopez played the best of any Net on Thursday night vs Miami, scoring 14 points on efficient 6-8 shooting from the field Not much to say about this one, as indicated by the score, since the Nets easily blew out a Miami Heat team missing Dwyane Wade and many key bench players. Brooklyn improved to 4-1 on the preseason with the win, although the Nets committed an ugly 25 turnovers (as opposed to Miami's 14). The home team did outrebound its opponent by a 53-31 margin and made eleven more field goals (and two three-pointers). The Heat shot an abysmal 31.8% from the field, 29.4% from three-point range, and 42.9% from the charity stripe. When obtaining those horrific kind of shooting numbers, it's nearly impossible for any team--even the NBA's defending champions--to win or even be competitive. Some other observations I had from the game: #ReggieEvansReboundCount: nine in 14 minutes in the second half. Reggie didn't play in the first half for som...

Kevin Durant Says It’s Time For Dwyane Wade To “Pass The Torch” (Video)

Kevin Durant is not feeling Dwyane Wade, and I need to get to the bottom of it. The Many Faces of Dwyane Wade

The typical career arc for an NBA legend is pretty standard. They’re never a team leader right from the get go, and if they are, it’s because they’re playing on a team full of Ricky Davises. Generally, rookies start as supporting pieces; by year two or three, the legend has established himself as a rising talent and indispensable part of his team; and then, by around year...

Kevin Durant continues to say James Harden should be ahead of Dwyane Wade Kevin Durant reiterated his stance on Dwyane Wade during a recent interview via Eurohoops.net. As we all know by now, Durant sparked up some hoops drama a few weeks back when he said Wade isn’t a top 10 NBA player. Instead, KD said that his boy James Harden should have made the top 10 list done by SI.com’s...

Heat's rivalry won't fade away

The way Dwyane Wade sees it, the Miami Heat's hatred for the Celtics did not dry up -- the target just moved. The Heat guard was asked about the former rivalry with the Celtics and whether it could take the form of a new rivalry with the Nets -- where Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Jason Terry now play. Wade did not seem to think he, LeBron James and the rest of the Heat would...

D Wade on Young 2 Guards: I’m Their Measuring Stick, like Kobe was Mine

It’ll be interesting to see how Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade is perceived among basketball heads in barbershops after his career over. Is he one of the best 2 guards ever? I won’t lie, I have to stop and think about it. For all of the people who will say he played second fiddle to […]

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade: Former Celtics owe Ray Allen an apology

The Miami Heat and Brooklyn Nets are set to square off against each other in a preseason game Thursday night. However, it appears the trash talk has begun before the two teams even step on the floor. When Ray Allen left the Boston Celtics in favor of Miami, former teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were extremely critical of him. Now that both Garnett and Pierce have left...
