Rajon Rondo said he wants to stay in Boston for another 10 years Boston Celtics point guard, Rajon Rondo, has been the subject of trade rumors seemingly since the Celtics short playoff exit last year against the New York Knicks. Since then, Boston has said goodbye to their coach Doc Rivers, and two long-time stars, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. Celtics president of basketball operations, Danny Ainge, seemingly shipped everyone out while acquiring draft picks and cap space. However, Ainge has been steadfast in his stance to build around Rondo. And by the recent comments from Rondo, the slick point guard out of Kentucky would like to remain with the team as well. Via Boston.com: “I like to stick to the script,” Rondo said before the Celtics played the Oklahoma City Thunder Friday night at TD Garden. “I don’t like change much. I wouldn’t mind staying here the rest of my career. Things don’t always seem to go that way, but like I said before, it’s just a business. I wouldn’t mind extending another 10 years in Boston.” Rondo is turning 28 next month, so for him to stay in Boston another 10 years would seem unlikely. Ainge has a propensity for trading in his chips before they are worthless. However, for Boston fans, this is great news as we’ve seen many stars across the NBA not commit to their current teams beyond the length of their contract.

Rondo working his way back

At his best, Rajon Rondo is an ankle-breaking blur going to the basket that can make the best defenders look downright foolish with his ball fakes and fancy schmancy dribbling. But his return to the court is now five games old, and he has a ways to go before he's that player again. One of the clearest indicators of this is his shot selection. Last season, 10.8 percent of Rondo...
