TEAMS: Washington Wizards, Toronto Raptors
Down the stretch, it was the Jerryd Bayless vs John Wall show. These two young guards put on a show at the Verizon center, and Raptors fans across the globe can’t help but smile.
Bayless brought the Raptors back into the game, who trailed by as much as 17. Bayless caught fire in the fourth and drilled multiple threes, sending the game to overtime.
The Raps offence had a drought in overtime, unfortunately. Considering they’re on a back to back this is understandable, and the game came down to Jose Calderon missing an extremely deep 3 for the tie. A few key missed boards also settled the Raptors fate in this one, and it will certainly be a tough loss to swallow for the discouraged young squad.
Andrea Bargnani was out and still has no timetable to return.
Let’s get to the report card:

Live by the three, die by the three was the Raps motto tonight.
While 13 threes isn’t overly impressive for a game total, the three-ball brought the Raps back...

Toronto Raptors: It’s Time for Jerryd Bayless to Start at Point Guard
I don’t believe in this ‘smaller line-up’ the Toronto Raptors have been using lately, starting two point guards, shifting DeMar DeRozan and James Johnson out of their natural positions. The Raps usually get out-matched by a team with size, and ultimately takes a toll on the players bodies.
However, I’m officially for Jerryd Bayless starting over Jose Calderon...
Bucks travel to Toronto to take on the Raptors
The Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks erased huge deficits in their most recent games, only to suffer heartbreaking defeats.
Each know they need to get off to better starts going forward.
Looking to avoid a fourth consecutive loss, the Bucks try for a seventh win in eight meetings with the Raptors, who open a seven-game homestand Wednesday night.

Wizards fans wish they could play Raptors more
Well it was just a few weeks ago when I was commenting on their being signs of a bright future in Toronto. A few big road wins and a few tough games against good teams and the Raps were giving us reason to watch.
Then last night they lose to the Washington Wizards in overtime. Back to reality.
The much improved defense was no where to be found last night as the Wizards put up 111...
JaVale McGee ran back for defense while the Wizards were still on offense last night (Video)
Dribbling between your legs in the middle of the lane? Check. Throwing up a clumsy hook shot that’s off the mark? Check. Hustling down the court for defense while your team still has the ball? Check. Ending the sequence by falling to the ground on a failed alley-oop? Check. Being the most entertaining player in the NBA for all the wrong reasons? Check.
God bless you, JaVale...
Toronto comes up short in OT vs. Wizards
Momentum seemed to be on Toronto's side going into Monday night's tilt vs. the Washington Wizards. A 106-89 win at home vs. those very Wizards, and a hard fought game vs. one ofthe NBA's best, the Miami Heat, on Super Bowl Sunday showed that Toronto was coming out with excellent effort and were playing until the end.
The Raptors had another slow start, and were down...
Heat hold off Raptors rally for 95-89 win
The Toronto Raptors fought back from a 16-point deficit to cut it to three with 3:23 left to go, but the Miami Heat held on for a 95-89 win that moves them within a game of Chicago for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Coming out of a timeout while nursing a three-point lead, LeBron James made a strong play to the basket and drew a hard foul from Amir Johnson. James made both...
Raptors Post Game Report Card: Late Push not Enough to Beat the Heat
Well, you can’t complain about the effort in this one. The Toronto Raptors gave the Miami Heat all they could handle, ultimately dropping the game 95-89.
The Raps were down by as much as 18 in the 3rd quarter. However, a late surge in the fourth pulled the Raps within 3 points before LeBron James and Dwyane Wade closed it out.

Raptors come up short in South Beach on Super Sunday
Coming off a solid end to end game resulting in a win for the Toronto Raptors on Friday at home vs. the Washington Wizards, the Raptors headed to South Beach to take on their former star, Chris Bosh, and the Miami Heat.Considering CB4 (CB1?) isn't the only star on the Miami roster (perhaps you've heard of LeBron James & Dwyane Wade?), the Raptors were most definitely...

Day 44 of 124: Win More With Bayless
Injury of the Night: Chauncey Billups (1.52) hurt his achilles, possibly his ACL. At this point we’re not sure if it’s torn or not. We’ll know more after he undergoes an MRI. Bottom line is that outlook is currently not very optimistic. For now we can cross our fingers and hope it’s just strained. However, the prudent move in fantasy (for Billups owners especially...
Raptors-Wizards Preview
The Washington Wizards haven't earned many wins this season, but recorded a decisive one at home against the Toronto Raptors last month.
The Raptors turned the tables on the Wizards in lopsided fashion last week.
That loss is part of a four-game skid that Washington will try to end when Toronto visits the Verizon Center on Monday night.
Washington (4-20) ended an 0-8 start...
The Jumpshot Cartoon
Jumpshots aren't a synch for Rasual Butler. As the cartoon shows, they're actually going all kinds of different directions. Love it!

For the sake of the Raptors, hopefully Rasual Butler can improve his jumpshots! If not, they may begin to look even worse. Merci, Heels on Hardwood!
