TORONTO -- A flurry of Timberwolves turnovers allowed the Toronto Raptors to maintain their dominance over Minnesota. The Wolves gave the ball away 24 times, leading to 33 Toronto points, in the Raptors' 105-86 win Sunday. It was the 15th victory for Toronto in the past 16 meetings between the teams, and the Raptors have defeated the Wolves nine consecutive times at the Air Canada Center. The Raptors (1-2) took the lead in the first quarter and gradually increased it. Toronto committed 11 turnovers, which led to just 14 points for Minnesota (1-1). "The first half is where we got killed, 16 turnovers, you can't do that on the road, you can't succeed, and you opened up the door for them," Minnesota head coach Rick Adelman said. "We hung in there, we got it down to three, I don't know how many times, six at the end of the third quarter, and then we just let the flood gates open in the fourth quarter." Raptors coach Dwane Casey agreed the tu...

Clearly, the reason why Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson had an image of himself on the front of his shoes (back on Wednesday night against the Indiana Pacers) is simple. Just in case, he ever has amnesia...he'll know who he is from looking at his shoes:(Courtesy of The NBA Mistress)
I don’t remember where I heard it or read it. I think it was on listening to commentary during a pre-season game. Someone said that he didn’t think Kyle Lowry would do well this season. He was coming off a career year with the Houston Rockets and was now with a new team, the Toronto Raptors. The outlook wasn’t looking good that he would replicate his stellar season. I listened...

The Deal: 4 years- 40 million
Demar Derozan is a good offensive player, with elite potential. However he is inefficient, a poor long-range shooter, a ball-hog, a bad defender and just not a ten million dollar player. However, that has not stopped the Toronto Raptors from giving him a forty million dollar contract.
Derozan is a very gifted player on offense and an explosive athlete...
