The Heat's unforgettable chase for history has come to a screeching halt at 27 games after the Bulls pulled off the upset Wednesday night. But don't fret because it's time to relive all the highlights (remarkable and ridiculous) Miami authored during this nearly two-month run.
The Harlem Shake Love 'em or hate 'em, the Miami Heat know how to have a good time. Nothing illustrated this better than when the defending champs jumped on the latest dance craze and nearly overloaded YouTube. Nearly 43 million clicks later, Miami's rendition proved to be one of the definitive takes. Check out 'Super Mario' Chalmers, King James and Dwyane (Teddy Bear) Wade break it down.
But like most anything else that's popular, there will always be haters. Cue the Minnesota Timberwolves' answer to the South Beach version.
LeBron 'Knights' Jason Terry Oh, Jason Terry. Did you not learn from Brandon Knight's mistake ? Obviously, he didn't. The Celtics veteran guard found himself in a no-win situation against the Heat on March 18. After turning the ball over, Terry tried to stop a Heat fastbreak, only to be caught on the wrong end of a LeBron James poster.
Fan runs onto court during Heat's huge rally over Cavs Down 26 points, on the road with less than 20 minutes to go. We all expected the Heat's streak to stop at 23 in Cleveland. But Miami answered with a 43-12 run to leave LeBron's former team and its fans shell-shocked. One fan made his presence known during the run, running up to King James decked out in a pro-LeBron shirt. How did the Heat pull off the miracle? Take a look.
Wade interviews LeBron Just because Dwyane Wade had to sit out a couple of games, doesn't mean he can't take part in the festivities. The Heat's star two-guard went one-on-one with King James after the game, quizzing him about the Heat's 26th consecutive and how the team could overcome the loss of WOW (Way of Wade). Even Bosh gets into the act.

Bosh's mariachi birthday Chris Bosh can't help but have a good time. So it should come as no surprise that the veteran Heat forward wouldn't have just any birthday party. So in the midst of the winning streak, Bosh enjoyed a mariachi-style B-day .

The Chicago Bulls, without Derrick Rose, Marco Bellineli or Joakim Noah, ended the Miami Heat’s massive 27-game winning streak Wednesday night and LeBron James was just a tad upset. Dwyane Wade had a MRI that came back negative and he said that the pain is subsiding.
This Miami Heat team has always needed failure to help find and define how great they can be. And so, in the end, with its near-historic winning streak halted at 27, it's true again: Their setback allows us and them to sit back, marvel at what they accomplished and fully grasp just how much LeBron James has transformed himself, his team and his league.

LeBron James was in perfect position for the rebound he needed for a triple-double. Near the rim, no Orlando opponents in his way, he readied his hands as he gazed toward the basket.
Only problem was, E'Twaun Moore made the shot.

In so many ways, the Celtics resemble the spirit of Dante about to enter his journey into Hell to rescue his beloved Beatrice. Beatrice is of course Banner #18 and Hell will surely be surviving with success to the 2013 playoffs entering as a 6th seeded team at best in the East. We could continue with the analogies with Dante´s marvelous opus by giving the role of the Devil to LeBron...
For the past month, two teams have been streaking alongside the other: the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets. One of those teams’ streaks ended – in a dismal way – Monday evening. “Let me calculate my thoughts real fast before I say (what I want to say),” James said. “I believe and I know that a lot of my fouls are not basketball plays. First of all, Kirk Hinrich in the first quarter basically grabbed me with two hands and brought me to the ground. The last one, Taj Gibson was able to collar me around my shoulder and bring me to the ground. Those are...
