The Victory Formation:
With the NBA Draft tomorrow night, many rumors and reports are circulating, and none more so than who the Cleveland Cavaliers will select #1 overall. While many believe Nerlens Noel to be the top player available, concerns over his injured knee and raw offensive game, have teams like the Cavs looking elsewhere. While they may try to move out of the top spot, the plan is to pick Alex Len. From Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports Network: The Cleveland Cavaliers are still leaning towards Maryland’s Alex Len with the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, per a source….. An underrated storyline 4 Cavs/Len per sources is Cleveland hired Vitaly Potapenko as player development coach. Like Len, a Ukraine native. Just who knows how correct these reports are, as it may be Cleveland trying to force the hand of teams inquiring about the cost of the #1 overall pick. Len has seen his stock rise the last couple of months, so there may actually be some legitimacy to it. He played one year at Maryland, averaging 12 PPG and collecting nearly 8 RPG. That being said, Cavs fans won’t be overjoyed.

After much debate back and forth for 6 weeks, the Cavs will select # 1: NerLenthony McLottodipo. Hope that clears it up for everyone…
— Dan Gilbert (@cavsdan) June 27, 2013
Well, this tweet should clear up any questions about who the Cleveland Cavaliers will be taking with the #1 overall pick. It’s good to see that Gilbert isn’t letting any pressure get to him and is...
The Cleveland Cavalier have reportedly offered the first-overall draft pick to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD reports that the Cavs have offered the top pick in the 2013 NBA Draft for New Orleans point guard Greivis Vasquez, the No. 6 overall pick and a 2014 first-round pick. As Kennedy states, the 2014 NBA Draft is widely considered to be substantially better...
The Cleveland Cavaliers have selected UNLV forward Anthony Bennett with the first-overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Bennett averaged 16.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per game with the Running Rebels. Bennett was said to have a fan in Cleveland’s head coach Mike Brown. He is a skilled power forward who was the top scoring and rebounding freshman per-40 minutes in the NBA Draft....
If Cleveland Cavaliers’ head coach Mike Brown was also serving as general manager, it appears that UNLV forward Anthony Bennett would be his selection with the first-overall pick in the impending 2013 NBA Draft.
ESPN’s Chad Ford, in a theory-based piece regarding the Cavs and the No. 1 pick, says that Brown is a big fan of the offensively gifted athlete from the Running Rebels...
INDEPENDENCE, Ohio (AP) -- The Cleveland Cavaliers have selected Russian guard Sergey Karasev with the No. 19 overall pick in the NBA draft.
The Cavs had been targeting Karasev for some time and thought they might have to trade up to get the 19-year-old, who played on the Russian Olympic team last summer at the London Games. A left-handed shooter, the 6-foot-8 Karasev averaged 18...
The Cleveland Cavaliers shocked much of the NBA world by passing on the likes of Nerlens Noel for UNLV freshman Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick. Bennett, who had a very nice run during his year in Las Vegas was projected to be a top 10 pick by many draft experts however no one [...]
In terms of the greatest reactions in NBA Draft history to an overall number one pick, ESPN’s Bill Simmons had one vocal one as the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett.
Watch as Bill drops a Keanu Reeves as the pick is announcer by NBA commish David Stern:
Cavaliers pick Anthony Bennett [The Big Lead]
Weeks of speculation, rumor and conjecture all come to a front at 7p tonight as the Cleveland Cavaliers add another piece with their crosshairs placed precisely on (hopeful) perennial contention. We have all seen the mock drafts, read the scouting reports and watched the videos. We’ve listened to doctors, pondered the past and attempted to forecast the future. The Cleveland Cavaliers...
Credit the Cleveland Cavaliers for executing the ultimate misinformation strategy in the days leading up to the NBA Draft.
Nobody saw the Anthony Bennett pick coming. Not even the guy who made this slow motion highlight video that has Bennett looking like something of a superhero.
The guy I picked for the Cavaliers, Otto Porter, ended...
Thanks to SBNation for this lovely gif of Nerlens Noel after Cleveland Cavaliers selected their No. 1 pick. Oh, yeah it wasn’t him.The post Nerlens Noel isn’t happy about the Cavs No. 1 draft pic (GIF) appeared first on The NBA Passionista .
The Cleveland Cavaliers have been trying to land a star to put next to Kyrie Irving, and according to reports, owner Dan Gilbert is tired of dealing with the lottery.
ESPN’s Chad Ford is reporting that the Trail Blazers rejected a deal from the Cavaliers offering the #1 overall pick, and the #19 pick for stud power forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
What are the Cleveland Cavaliers...
Grantland.com Editor in Chief and ESPN NBA analyst Bill Simmons provided one of the better reaction shots of the 2013 NBA Draft, doing so just a few minutes into the broadcast when UNLV’s Anthony Bennett’s name was called as the Cavalier’s first-overall pick.
The ESPN panel all had a different player for the Cavs to select, but none of them had Bennett going No. 1.
Below are my final predicitions for who I believe the Cleveland Cavaliers will select in the 2013 NBA Draft. Be sure to read these now because as soon as the draft ends I will edit accordingly.
These picks are assuming there is no trade and the Cavs actually make a selection at No. 1, No. 19, No. 31 and No. 33.
No. 1: Alex Len

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly one of a few teams who are interested in acquiring Houston Rockets forward Thomas Robinson. Jonathan Feigan of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Rockets are looking to clear salary, presumably in attempt to sign free agent center Dwight Howard, and that a salary cap-clearing trade involving Robinson is “imminent.”
“There are 16 teams...
