The Los Angeles Lakers called the New York Knicks to express their interest in a deal for shooting guard Iman Shumpert, according to Chris Broussard of ESPN. The Lakers are looking to bolster a backcourt that has been riddled with injury recently. With Kobe Bryant playing the point guard position, Shumpert would slide right into the 2-spot.
