Rajon Rondo, Jared Sullinger, and now Leandro Barbosa will miss the rest of the 2012-13 season after losing his footing on a stopping motion towards the basket during Monday’s loss 94-91.
Kevin Garnett reported to CSNNE’s A. Sherrod Blakely that they received news that Barbosa will not play again in this season.
Garnett said the #Celtics players are being told Barbosa is done for the season. #bigblow

This is a huge blow considering how good Leandro Barbosa has been for Doc Rivers’ team as of late posting 6.8 points and 2.1 assists in the last 10 games.
As expected prior to the injury, Celtics were looking to add a few players, and now Danny Ainge must find replacements.

Our Boston Celtics have not lost a game since the double OT loss in Atlanta on January 25th. It was the last game Rajon Rondo has played this season, and likely the last NBA game he will play until some point in the 2013-2014 NBA season. Seven straight wins. No Rajon Rondo (or Jared Sullinger). How has this been possible without our best player, and one of the best and most unique...
Boy, the Boston Celtics just can’t catch a break this year.
They win six games in a row… only to lose their next six. They lose Rajon Rondo for the rest of the season… only to lose Jared Sullinger two games later. They run off a surprising seven-game win streak, beating the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets… only to have it snapped by the cellar-dwelling...
The Celtics host the Bulls tonight at the Garden (7:30 tip), in the 4th and final meeting between the clubs this season. So far this year the Bulls have won 2 of the 3 match-ups, including the only game in Boston. Here's what rounds 1-3 have looked like.
Nov. 12th: Celtics 101, Bulls 95 - Celtics win in Chicago behind Rajon Rondo's near triple-double (20 points, 10 assists...
Earlier this morning we noted that folks continue to drop the n-word way too easily and what does The Big Lead come up with? Kevin Garnett dropping the word on a local broadcast last...

Things appeared pretty grim for the Boston Celtics just a few weeks ago.
Rajon Rondo went down with a torn knee ligament, and the team's playoff hopes took a major hit.
Well, the Celtics haven't lost in the seven games since and their latest victory proved they're going to be tough to beat - even without their star point guard. Paul Pierce had 27 points, 14 rebounds...
Paul Pierce and the Celtics have had a chance to show their toughness with Rondo out
The Boston Celtics won their seventh straight game Sunday, this one a triple overtime epic against the Denver Nuggets. It was another bar fight for a Celtics team that has become accustomed to them over the past two seasons. Even in the wake of that game, the major national story remains the same...
8 a.m. ET: Kevin Garnett will be the only Celtics player on the court this weekend, and no, that’s not because he will be the only one still healthy. Garnett is the Celtics’ lone representative at All-Star weekend this year, as Rajon Rondo, who was due to start at point guard for the East, is out with a torn ACL in his right knee and Paul Pierce was left off the roster.
Kevin Garnett has never been one to hold his tongue on the court. Known widely for his explicit language, Garnett makes it clear that he will never change that aspect of his on the court game. So now we have this video courtesy of The Big Lead. Check out the interesting commentary KG had after blocking a shot.
Kevin Garnett hasn’t been shy on his feelings towards Dwight Howard these days. Just over the summer he called Howard a clown, turns out Garnett’s loathing for the fellow Super Star player goes deeper.

The Boston Celtics hosted the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night in what ended up being a triple-overtime thriller. The Celtics managed to win the game 118-114 behind Paul Pierce’s 27 points.
While the game was full of highlights, perhaps the best highlight was when the oft vocal Kevin Garnett told Kenneth Faried to “get that sh$t out of her n$%#a”. He yelled it loud enough that...
Forget about the shroud of uncertainty surrounding the Boston Celtics thanks to trade rumors and injury concerns circulating this season. It seems as though the veteran ball club has done everything in their power to stave off the doubt and not only maintain their legitimacy in the Eastern Conference, but improve their NBA odds in the process.
With a five-game West Coast swing on...
CHARLOTTE, N.C - Heading into Time Warner Cable Arena Monday night, the Boston Celtics were as hot as any team in the league with seven straight wins, handing the Heat, Clippers, Nuggets and Lakers all losses during that stretch.
Who'd have thought it'd be the lowly Charlotte Bobcats, the bunch with the worst record in the NBA, that would cool them off?
As if a blown four...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
Welp, I really didn’t want to start this day off with doom and gloom for C’s fans, but obviously, the Barbosa injury is the big story, and only real “news”. He’ll undergo an MRI this morning in Boston...
