The Philadelphia 76ers have come to terms with Center Spencer Hawes according to reports from CSNPhilly’s Dei Lynam.

Hawes agreed to a 2-year, $13 million deal to return to the Sixers. Hawes played well last season when he was healthy, which unfortunately for the Sixers was rarely.

Spencer Hawes, the 7’1″ 24 year old averaged 9.6 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game in 37 games with the Sixers last season. Hawes dealt with back and Achilles’ tendon injuries last year, but was a big part of the Sixers’ surprisingly good start to the season.

Hawes earned just over $4 million last season, and it was unclear whether the Sixers would bring him back. Hawes came to Philadelphia from Sacramento in June of 2010 as part of the deal that sent Samuel Dalambert to the Kings.

While the deal is said to be agreed on, it can not be officially announced until July 11th according to NBA rules.Similar Posts:
