Fox Sports Florida:
It appears the Miami Heat will have something up their sleeves Christmas Day.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel say it has confirmed the Heat will wear jerseys with sleeves in their Christmas Day game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.
The newspaper said Miami will wear sleeves one other time this season after avoiding them in the NBA's initial venture last season and during the past summer league action, in which the majority of teams wore sleeves.
ESPN.com first reported this year's sleeved jerseys will show a team logo on the front and not uniform numbers. Each player's name and number will remain on the back.
The Heat are currently scheduled to wear 10 different uniform varieties during the regular season.
The NBA went with a "Big Color" theme for the monochromatic Christmas Day jerseys last season. The Sun-Sentinel said this year's theme is expected to be "Big Logo."

In the first meeting between the two teams that many feel could face each other in this year’s NBA Finals, Dwyane Wade came up with a huge fourth quarter to propel the Miami Heat to a 102-97 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, delivering a win for head coach Erik Spoelstra in his 400th regular-season game as Miami’s bench boss. In a performance that resembled the pre-Lebron...
It has happened more times than even Dwyane Wade can remember.
Someone gets the ball down low against the Miami Heat, leaps to attempt a dunk - and gets the ball swatted away by Wade, who still finds a way to catch even significantly taller NBA players by surprise with one of his signature talents.
Carlos Boozer, Tyson Chandler, Dwight Howard, Dirk Nowitzki, Brook Lopez, Carmelo...

For a moment, it felt like old times for Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.
After each made basket, he thought back to when he was the No. 1 scoring option. And just when it started getting good, Wade realized those days are gone.
Wade scored a season-high 29 points in Thursday's victory against the Los Angeles Clippers, but knows moments as such are a rarity because of the Heat...
MIAMI -- For "no rivalry," this was as thrilling as it gets.
Jeff Green hit a Ray Allen-like 3-pointer from the right corner at the buzzer to give the Boston Celtics a 111-110 victory against the Miami Heat on Saturday night.
The shot wasn't official until the three referees looked at the play on a TV monitor to verify it was 3-pointer and released before the buzzer...

The Miami Heat took a pretty brutal L tonight against an vastly inferior Boston Celtics team on Saturday night.
But more important than the result of the early regular season game was the play of LeBron James in it, who admitted after Tuesday night's game against the Clippers that he's been dealing with back issues.
The Celtics game being his first since that...
