Rajon Rondo has made two additions to his life.
“The bike has become my friend” the Celtics point guard said yesterday during media day referring to of one of his primary means of rehabilitating from ACL surgery.
It’s not out of the question that his new coach Brad Stevens could join Rondo on a tandem bike ride someday soon.
“Me and Brad have become best friends” Rondo said with an easy smile. “We talk every day and laugh and joke. We just had dinner the other night.”
Rondo held that smile a bit longer than normal as if to convey a point. He knows what many think — that he grinds the gears on his coaches. And he doesn’t care about that reputation.
“When I’m away I hibernate. I don’t pay too much attention to what the media said about me” Rondo said of speculation that he would be a handful for the rookie NBA coach from Butler University.
“(Stevens) is the same as me — you can’t control the media. He’s been open and honest. What people say is different from when you cross
