The move finally helps Rashad McCants get on the court. He's the major benefactor of the deal. Foye, McCants, and Brewer will start in the back court, and Green and Gomes will be able to get much needed playing time as first reserves. Big Al benefits too.
AMark Blount, who was completely worthless on this roster, is gone. Jefferson will be surrounded by the best mix of veteran big men: a top defender (Ratliff), a jump shooter (Doleac), a high post dude (Howard), and uh, 'Toine. He's in a great situation.
Business wise, they get two expiring contracts (Doleac and Simien), they'll buy out Walker's contract after the season, and they'll actually receive a 1st round draft pick!
The Wolves get younger, cheaper, and are now in great position moving forward. Next year, they'll have huge cap space, enough to trade for anybody or buy anyone they want.
I don't know how this affects the Heat, who cares.
LOL.
PS: Can you explain how Minny gets a first-round draft pick out of this trade?
Sounds like a good deal for the Tims.
