When the Los Angeles Lakers won three straight NBA titles, from 1999-2000 to 2001-2002, the dynamic duo of Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant led the way and dominated the NBA like not many players have. Shaq, while in his prime with the Lakers, was probably the most dominant physical player to ever step foot on an NBA court. Opposing players couldn’t stop Shaq and were forced to foul him, the famous hack-a-Shaq, hoping that he would his free throws due to the fact that he was such a horrendous free throw shooter. After the Lakers won three straight titles hopes were high that they would go for a four-peat, something that had not been accomplished since the great Celtics teams of the 60′s won 8 straight NBA titles. But a feud between two players that no one had seen coming blew up the Lakers roster and forced the Lakers to go into a three year rebuilding period after they dealt Shaq to the Miami Heat.
