Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, Kris Joseph and Courtney Lee play a game of 2-on-2 before Friday's game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks at TD Garden. Rondo and Bradley took turns guarding one another. This is a great sight. Bradley is looking good. I wouldn't be surprised to see him return on Christmas day, personally. Thanks to Mike Petraglia for the video.

Well this is a good thing. Per the Celts official twitter:
Doc: "Avery had a practice the other day in Chicago and half the team was asking, 'Why is he not playing tomorrow?' He was that good."

On the surface it seems crazy that a guy who averaged 7.6 points, 1.8 boards and 1.6 assists in 21 minutes a game last season...
A pretty awesome epic mix by EphinEcko for Rajon Rondo with a lot from last year's playoff run.

Rajon Rondo is scheduled to be handing out dimes to his Celtics teammates on Christmas Day, but that didn’t stop him from spreading the holiday cheer to others this Christmas season.
Rondo played Santa Claus a few days early this Saturday, heading to the Blue Hills Boys and Girls Club in Dorchester, Mass., where he handed out bicycles and played Connect Four with the local children...

Brandon Jennings said that he and Rajon Rondo probably would have fought during Friday's game if not for the prospect of being fined.
Over at the Boston Herald, Mark Murphy has an excellent feature on Rajon Rondo and the impact he believes Avery Bradley will have in his return to the Celtics. From the Herald:“A couple of guys last year had things to say,” [Rondo] said. “It’s kind of funny. (Bradley) would finally get out of the game, and I would come in, and they would almost seem relieved — I don’t...
HAVERHILL, Ma. – Reports out of the Boston Celtics have injured guard Avery Bradley returning to the team on January 2nd against the Memphis Grizzlies. With the difficulties that the Celtics have had, particularly on the defensive end of the floor, Bradley is seen as the Prodigal Son returning to take his rightful place as [...]
Rajon Rondo spent the early part of this season stalking Magic Johnson‘s record of 46 straight games with double-digit assists. Rondo took the streak so seriously he allowed himself to be kept in the game into the final minute of a loss in Detroit just to notch that decisive 10th assist to keep his run alive.
Rondo’s streak eventually ended at 37 games, which tied John Stockton...
Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight.
The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words.
During the rest of the year, Rajon Rondo spends his time slapping around Kris Humphries.
But during Christmas, Rondo becomes Santa and hands out bikes and toys to the Blue Hill Boys and Girls Club.
Boy, does he do it all.
Here’s part of my afternoon Twitter exchange with Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix.
I’m intrigued by this deal. Pau Gasol would be a huge help to Kevin Garnett, the Celtics jump shot centric offense and (lack of ) rebounding.
I’d hate to give up a decade of Avery Bradley for 3 years of Gasol. And a move like this is extremely short-sighted. But I really believe Gasol could...
After every game, we’ll take stock of how each individual performance affects the player’s overall value.
Offense: Defense: Overall:
He was in hyper-aggressive attack mode for most of the night and it was a pleasure to watch. When was the last time you saw Rondo drop a 12 point, 0 assist quarter? Five of his 7 buckets came within 9 feet. His...
Enterprise News Magic Johnson has high praise for pair of Celtics – Magic Johnson compliments both Rajon Rondo and Paul Pierce, calling Rondo “the best all-around’’ point guard in the league. Boston Herald Rajon Rondo points to Avery Bradley’s pressure - Rondo praises his teammate, Avery Bradley, dishes on his recovery, and explains his importance to the team. Sadly [...]
With the Celtics hovering around .500 this holiday season, fans will have plenty of wants.
There are the obvious ones: Wins, Avery Bradley back on the court and in a recent Bleacher Report article, Paul Pierce said he wants a championship for Christmas.
The Celtics haven't been very "good" this year, so Santa probably isn't leaving a ring under the tree.
8 a.m. ET: The Celtics have just about had enough of the Milwaukee Bucks.
The pesky Bucks and their lightning-fast backcourt of Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis have caused all sorts of problems for the Celtics this season. The Bucks (13-11) have won two of three meetings already against the C’s (13-12), and they had a run of five wins in six games before they fell to the Grizzlies...
