Before last night's bench-inspired win over Phoenix, Rajon Rondo had some things to say about his suspension and the KG/Carmelo/breakfast cereal incident: Oh man, I get suspended for a phone hang-up and people just get away with anything in this league. Oh my goodness, so that’s the same thing, huh? That's in regards to hearing Carmelo Anthony also got a 1 game suspension for his post game antics on Monday.  Rondo was then told that he could be seen in the video, and asked if he felt uncomfortable about it: I’m in the video. What do I have on? You can tell it’s me? Yeah, I had the hood on, didn’t I? Uncomfortable? I’m a nice guy. I was pretty comfortable. I didn’t want anything to happen to the big fella. I had my teammate's back. Nobody was looking for a fight or anything. We just tried to break it up and I wanted to be there for my teammate. Just because I got suspended doesn’t mean I’m a bad person. Why can’t I be a peacemaker? And finally in reference to Doc Ri...

Chad Ford: Celtics may trade Rondo, would be "shocked" if they don't make a move

Yet again, Rajon Rondo has been brought up as possible trade bait and maybe it's time to strongly consider moving him. In a chat on espn.com Wednesday, NBA writer Chad Ford said this about the Celtics making a trade: Yes I would put them up there with the Rockets, Grizzlies and Lakers as the most active teams right now. I'd be shocked if they didn't get something done...

Celtkicks: Rajon Rondo’s new Nike Hyperfuse low 2012

The Nike Hyperfuse has been a favorite of Rondo’s for the past few seasons. Wednesday night against the Suns at TD Garden, he broke out a new pair-the Hyperfuse 2012 low. They feature a green upper, Nike’s famous “Fuse” technology throughout, a white swoosh on each side/toe box & Rajon’s logo on the tongue. The Hyperfuse low just started appearing on NBA athletes and...

Rajon Rondo Hung Up Phone On League Official

Recently, we told you how Rajon Rondo was suspended for one game, which he served when his Celtics faced off against the New York Knicks. Everyone assumed it was for bumping a referee, but Rondo claims it was just a little different from that. The league also cited failure to cooperate as a reason for the suspension. According to Rajon, it may have been for hanging up the phone on...

Trading Rajon Rondo Would Create New Problems for Celtics Without Necessarily Solving Existing Problems

BOSTON — Rajon Rondo contends he does not like to miss games, which makes it more than a little confounding whenever he commits an on-court transgression that is sure to get him suspended. For a guy who prides himself on never taking a night off, getting into it with referees would seem to go against that goal. When Celtics coach Doc Rivers recently suggested that fines should...

Rajon Rondo on bumping ref, "I was joking, he laughed"

Fact Mott didn't make call on bump or even appear to warn him would seem to support Rondo. But getting terse on call w/NBA is on him. — Steve Bulpett (@SteveBHoop) January 8, 2013 #Celtics Rajon Rondo: At that time (of bump) I had a triple double, we were up 10, I wasn't angry. I didn't go over and yell at Rodney Mott. — Scott Souza (@scott_souza) January 8, 2013...

Rajon Rondo Annoyed With NBA, Referees, Media, Feels They Contribute to Negative Reputation

BOSTON — Rajon Rondo is not one to mask his emotions, so he did not try to hide how perturbed he was when he was told Wednesday about the length of Carmelo Anthony‘s suspension. As Rondo prepared to make his return from a one-game suspension for bumping a referee and then, in the league’s words, “failing to cooperate with a league investigation,” he was informed that the...

Rondo Says He Didn’t Deserve Suspension, Was Joking With Ref

Here’s Rajon Rondo on his one-game suspension for bumping official Rodney Mott: “The league thought it was a big deal. I don’t feel there was a need to have an investigation. I know Rodney and that particular time with that play, I actually went up to him and I made a joke, he laughed and in the midst, I did touch him and the league I guess reviewed it, the media blew it up...

Carmelo Anthony Suspended 1 Game and Rondo Reacts

Carmelo Anthony has been suspended one game for waiting outside the Celtics' locker room and bus to confront Kevin Garnett after Monday's game in New York. Rondo, witty as always...

Rajon Rondo Still Puzzle Celtics Are Trying to Solve, Not Success Story That Proves Team Would Reform DeMarcus Cousins

Celtics fans cannot seem to get DeMarcus Cousins off their minds, no matter how dead that trade rumor might be. The salary complications and Cousins’ behavioral issues have been debated ad nauseam, so it is not worth going into those massive obstacles any further. One thing that has been repeated so often in the last few weeks, to the point that it has almost been accepted as fact...

NBA to Hawks GM Danny Ferry Stop Snitching

Stop snitching!
