These days, NBA postgame press conference fashion has been taken to some crazy extremes and over the weekend, Indiana Pacers Roy Hibbert came close to making an epic fashion choice.
After the Pacers game three win over the New York Knicks, Hibbert planned to don one of the most rich-people accessories of all-time: a monocle. Check out the below tweet of Roy with his monocle courtesy of TNT’s Rachel Nichols:

Sadly, Hibbert got talked out of wearing it by teammate Paul George:
“I asked my teammate Paul (George) if I should do this. This is my first time at the podium basically all year. I know a lot of people always wear crazy get-ups and stuff like that, so I said to myself before the game, ‘I’m going to have a great game tonight.’
“I was advised by Paul George and David Benner not to set a trend by wearing a monocole, so I’m not putting on the monocle,” said Hibbert.
For those of you wondering what happened to the monocle, Hibbert tossed it to one of the reporters after his interview has been completed.
