According to Yahoo! Sports, former Philadelphia 76ers basketball star Allen Iverson is in exploratory talks with Puerto Rico’s professional basketball league Baloncesto Superior Nacional. The league starts in March and plays a 30-game season. The league pays about $20,000 per month plus living expenses. According to sources from Yahoo!, the owner of the league is selling to Iverson that if he plays in Puerto Rico, he could make his way back into the NBA. Iverson could be a very big ticket seller for the league, which has already seen starts like Rashad McCants and Ike Diogu already play. There is no interest in Iverson from any team in the NBA so this could be his only shot at playing basketball this year. Follow Ryan Gaydos on Twitter @RyanGaydos

5 Moves Allen Iverson Could Learn From Kenny Powers

We saw a few people joking around on Twitter yesterday that Allen Iverson is sort of morphing into the NBA version of Kenny Powers. For our socially inept readers, Powers is the profanity-lacing, jetski-riding, beer-drinking-while-he-drives star from HBO’s popular show, Eastbound & Down. Now with reports linking a team in Puerto Rico with Iverson, the [...]

From Los That Sports Blog we learn today that Allen Iverson is being courted by a Puerto Rican professional basketball team. Iverson In Talks With Puerto Rican League

The league's teams are discussing a bidding process for Allen Iverson.

Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda…

by Quinn Peterson / @QwinFNP If you were to talk to someone a half-dozen years ago or so, you’d be hard-pressed in convincing them that between Stephon Marbury, Steve Francis, Allen Iverson, Gilbert Arenas and Baron Davis not a single game would be played in the ’11-12 NBA season. But oh, how quickly they fall—about as quickly as they crossed and darted by defenders. They should...
