NBA Trade Rumors: Leandro Barbosa has requested trade, expects one soon sbn.to/10hmgr1
— CelticsBlog (@celticsblog) January 17, 2013
They quote this artcle from ESPN Brazil. In it, he expresses his frustration with lack of playing time and the fact that he has tried several times to get out of his contract with Boston but Danny won't let him. Barbosa also suggested that in a little while we will get a surprise. Perhaps there is a trade already in the works.
Barbosa has shown an ability to contribute offense off the bench and put up some quick points. It's nice to have a player like that on the bench and so I can see why Danny wouldn't want to trade him. But if Barbosa is unhappy, it may be in the best interest of the team to try to trade him to a team that needs a guard and could give him more playing time, since on the Celtics he has Rondo, Bradley, Terry and Lee all a...

Rajon Rondo Doesn’t Have Friends on Other Teams
via ESPN Boston:
All-star weekend is one of the most entertaining weekends in sports TV. Seeing your favorite pro’s joking around and poking fun at each other. Well Rajon Rondo isn’t that type. Why? Simply because he’s a little more focused than that. Old school mentality??
So will Rondo be hanging out with Wade and Melo that weekend?
“Why would I?” asked Rondo.

Video: Rondo and Garnett discuss possibility of being named All-Star starters
Rajon Rondo and Kevin garnett were both on pace to start the All-Star game with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Carmelo Anthony. Rondo is basically assured of the spot, but KG was in a tight race with Chris Bosh. Would suck for Rondo to have to start with 3 Heat players and Carmelo Anthony. Hopefully Celtics fans voted a ton these final days and got KG the nod.
