Russell Westbrook jacks up halfcourt shot in feeble attempt to draw foul (video)

During the Oklahoma City Thunder’s showdown against the in-state rival San Antonio Spurs, point guard Russell Westbrook made an ill-conceived attempt to draw a shooting foul by hoisting up a shot just inside the half-court line. Scott Brooks doesn't think top seed is important either

The San Antonio Spurs are currently 1 1/2 games ahead of the Oklahoma City Thunder for first place in the Western Conference, thanks in part to Monday's night big win at home.    Spurs players and head coach Gregg Popovich have said finishing first in the West doesn't matter as much as being healthy and playing your best basketball heading in to the playoffs. ...

Boston Celtics: When bad is good

The Celtics have lost their last two games in an alarming fashion. There were blown defensive assignments, terrible shot selection and of course Brandon Bass's 13 rebound explosion in Sunday's loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. It was all lost in their continued inability to protect the paint. Russell Westbrook in particular feasted on the offensive boards, leaving...
