On Wednesday, the Saint Louis Billikens basketball program announced the hiring of Calbert Cheaney as the new assistant coach on head coach Jim Crews’ staff. Cheaney was a three-time All-American at Indiana during his collegiate career, which included a Naismith College Player of the Year in 1993. Cheaney, who also spent 13 years in the NBA, will come to Saint Louis after being the Director of Operation/Internal and External Player Development at Indiana for the past two seasons. Cheaney told slubillikens.com, “I have known Jim Crews for a long time, and I’m eager to work with him and the rest of the SLU staff. This is a great coaching situation to step into, and I look forward to adding to SLU’s recent success. “I appreciate the SLU department of athletics welcoming my family into theirs. It is bittersweet to leave Indiana. Learning and building relationships with Coach Crean, the IU staff and the players was an unbelievable experience. I wouldn’t trade it for the world,” Cheaney s...

VIDEO: Stephen Curry practices his dunking

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry has always been known as a three point shooter and pretty much nothing else. The team posted a video though of Curry practicing his dunks with the caption “Steph Curry: not just a 3-point shooter. Check out what he’s been working on this summer.” That may excite the fans but I think it’s a little misleading. Curry has been hosting...
