I hope everyone has been keeping up with the tweets and Facebook updates. I’ve been keeping a close eye on transactions as well as game info. Since the deadline has passed, the Warriors didn’t make any exciting moves except receiving Troy Murphy and buying him out while shipping Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric to New Jersey. They also signed Al Thornton and Jeff Adrian.
As for their last four games, they are just 1-4. Warriors are on this East coast trip and started it off with a tough loss to Minnesota before winning in DC. Again, they fought hard but fell short against the Celtics while giving up 125 points to the 76ers on Sunday. Today, they are back in action, taking on Cleveland while finishing up the trip tomorrow against New Jersey.
With 19 more games left of this season, the Warriors are currently sitting in 12th place overall in the Western Conference and are 5 games out of the 8th and final playoff spot. The 8th team right now is the Memphis Grizzlies and I don’t see them losing enough games for the Warriors to sneak in. Also, the nine, 10, 11 teams are the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets and the Utah Jazz. They would all have to lose and the Warriors continue to win. With 19 games left and with how the Warriors are doing, it’s not likely going to happen.
Let’s just hope the Warriors can spoil some of the playoff hopeful teams and go out with a bang!
