Kings of the NBA:
Los Angeles Lakers
I originally had plans on covering another piece on LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and the Miami Heat. I planned a long list of Miami bashing, Jordan worshipping, and James scolding. There was going to be some discussion about everything that the Chicago Bulls did right in when they ended the Heat’s streak last week (I rhymed). There was so much to say, and we all know that I was going to go all out in saying it. However, in light of newer, more important stories than the Miami Heat, I would like to turn the attention over to a place known as Las Angeles, California. A beautiful place in its own right, LA is home to some of the most memorable sites in the U.S. For example, there’s the city of Hollywood, an abundance of movie stars and fornication, and Shaq. When it comes to Shaq, there’s so much to be said. How can one person summarize Shaq? If you could describe Shaq in one word, what would it be? If it was me, the word would be big. Yes, Shaq is big in every meaning of the word. ...

The Miami Heat fab duo of Lebron James and Dwyane Wade sat out last night’s game Vs. the New York Knicks due to Injury, as they helplessly watched Carmelo Anthony drop 50 ! in a Knicks win, #KNICKSTAPE . On a good note, you know the boys from Miami, injured or not, are always dressed in style, appearance is everything on South Beach. Lebron kept his suiting traditional, looking...
Moroccan style theme for LeBron and his lady.
Wonder what the Iron Sheik is going to Tweet when he sees this.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Miami Heat say LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen won't play Friday night against the NBA-worst Charlotte Bobcats, but that Mario Chalmers has been upgraded to a game-time decision.
Chalmers participated in the team's Friday morning shoot-around practice.
The Heat can afford to rest their stars after locking up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern...
CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Three observations from the Bobcats' 89-79 loss to the Heat Friday night.
1. This Miami team isn't defenseless without Wade and James.
What should have been a sure-fire mismatch between the teams with the leagues best and worst records looked anything but with LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen all sidelined for the Heat.
But the Heat still managed...
Carmelo Anthony was on fire Tuesday night as he scored 50 points in stylish fashion, while leading the Knicks to their 9th win in a row a 102-90 past the Heat. As LeBron James didn’t play due to a strained right hamstring, I’m sure many will question how much stock this performance holds when talking about this match-ups come playoff time. Either way it was fun to watch.

Bravo Melo! Dropping 50 points against any team is an elite and celebratory feat. Critics may want to belittle it because LeBron James nor Dwyane Wade played, but I loved it even more for that exact reason. The sight of James and Wade looking helpless and pissed while Melo went on a shooting spree, on their court...
The Miami Heat have two wins in their three games without LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, with big thanks to one of the team's reserves.
With the status of both James and Wade unclear for Saturday's home game against Philadelphia, the Heat may again need big contributions from Mike Miller to get a 15th straight regular-season win over the 76ers.
Having already clinched first...
It was a disappointing loss when the San Antonio Spurs fell to the extremely short handed Miami Heat from a Chris Bosh game winner.
The Spurs and their fans felt disappointment with their unmotivated play and careless mistakes. They were slow to the ball and just played like they had the game won from the start.
The Miami Heat, however, had a different mindset coming into...
The Miami Heat won't have LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen against the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.
Greg Willard, a longtime NBA referee who worked more than 1,600 games before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, has died. He was 54.
Willard died Monday night, according to the league. He was diagnosed with the illness during last season's playoffs and worked only one more game, a preseason matchup in October not far from his Huntington Beach, Calif., home.

You know how LeBron James is always playing that worn out routine of “Maybe I should be in the Slam Dunk Contest this year…” and us basketball fans are like, “Please, oh, please LeBron, would ya do that, King? Would ya?” and he’s like, “Wellllllllllllll maybe if someone paid me a million dollars…” and then you and I pull out our pockets and fight over who gets to...
