Well, what a difference a few hours make. We were delighted to report this morning that injured center Shaquille O’Neal had been lobbying to play this weekend and was on track to make his return from injury Wednesday against the LA Blakers.
Shaq was forced to miss practice today when the injury flared up pushing his return out a week if not more.
Said head coach Doc Rivers: “Shaq is probably not going to be back Wednesday, it looks like, his foot is bothering him again a little bit.”
At this point we are just hoping he can return in time for the playoffs. Even as the oldest player in the Association, Shaq has value to the Celtics.
