When the NBA lockout ends, if it ends, Shawne Williams will be an unrestricted free agent and might not return to the New York Knicks. At least that’s what most people thought before Shawne Williams came out and said otherwise. On Saturday Williams had this to say, “I’m not going to lie, I really didn’t understand how big New York was until I played there.”
“I feel like we already know we’re going to make the playoffs,” Williams said. “I’m not being cocky or nothing. It’s just … We’re going to get past the first round. Everybody has a chip on their shoulders because we got swept. I feel like there was no reason or excuse for us not to have won one game. We had three tough-break losses within (the last) ten seconds. That’s stayed on my mind every day of the summer. I can’t wait to get back into the same situation again and try to prevail.”
Williams sure oozes confidence and makes it seem like the Knicks will have no problems making the playoffs this upcoming season,...
