Jason Whitney Reggie Evans took exception to the Grizzlies keeping their starters in during last night’s blowout The Brooklyn Nets for most of last night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies look like a team that struggled through the month of December opposed to the team that has been 10-1 in the month of January. Although they suffered a 24 point loss to the hands of the Grizzlies, it was just their second loss of the month. The Grizzlies can be a little chippy as the Knicks found out, so Reggie Evans and the rest of the Nets shouldn’t be mad that Memphis coach, Lionel Hollins left his starters in during the blowout. Evans took exception to this. Reggie Evans was standing up, taking exception to Memphis coach Lionel Hollins’ decision to leave his starters in a blowout. He looked directly at the Grizzlies’ bench and clapped sarcastically. At one point, he hollered at Memphis center Marc Gasol. He then sat down, and exchanged similar pleasantries with heckling fans at the FedEx Forum. “That was the point where it was like, wow, I was shocked. I was real shocked to see him come back in,” Evans said, adding, “We won’t be forgetting, though. Right now we’re going to focus on (Saturday’s game against Houston), but we’re definitely going to look forward to when that day comes where we play (Memphis again).” That wouldn’t be all as the Memphis paper tag line to the game was, “MAULED ALIVE.” This was followed by calling them the New Jersey Nets. You’d think Memphis would realize the streak the Brooklyn Nets have been on. Well apparently they haven’t got the memo that the Nets have moved to Brooklyn and are no longer the New Jersey Nets. Seems intentional because they referred to the Grizzlies as just the “Grizzlies” and not the Memphis Grizzlies, while they called the Nets by their former full name. I’m sure all the Nets players have Sunday, February 24th circled when they play the Grizzlies on their floor. Sports-Kings - The Kings of Sports Lists
