Cardinal re-signs with NBA champ Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed veteran forward Brian Cardinal.
The defending NBA champions announced the move Monday. Terms of the deal weren't released, but Cardinal will likely get the veteran minimum of just over $1.3 million.
Cardinal joined the Mavericks last as a free agent, when the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 2.6 points, 1.1 rebounds and 10.8 minutes in 56 games...

The "wow, David Kahn really likes point guards" class of jokes was starting to wear a little thin. Sure, he'd signed what seemed to be dozens of them over the course of his tenure in Minnesota (I'm not sure of the actual number. You can go here to try to count for yourself. I tried, but started to go cross-eyed), but that's all in the past.
