The Wizards pulled out a narrow victory over the Philadelphia 76ers with Mike James getting fouled on a last second three point attempt and hitting two of three free throws to seal the deal and hand the Sixers their second loss of the preseason 90-89. With Gilbert Arenas and Mike Miller sidelined with flu like symptoms, the backcourt of Nick Young and former Villanova star Randy Foye held the down the fort. Foye had 17 points to lead all Wizards scorers. Caron Butler had 16 points and Mike James was a spark off the bench as he finished with 15 points. For the Sixers, Andre Iguodala scored 19 points and Marreese Speight once again provided some punch off the bench with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Elton Brand and Thaddeus Young struggled combining for only 10 points on 4-14 shooting. The preseason is winding down as the Sixers last preseason game will be on Friday night at New Jersey against the Nets. Game time will be 8:00 p.m. EST.
