Philadelphia 76ers Blog:
The Sixers took care of business and signed point guard of the future Jrue Holiday to a deal that details what the rookie scale is for a # 17 pick which will be slotted for guaranteed salaries of $1,261,900 and $1,356,600, the salary numbers can be negotiated up by as much as 20 percent. There is also a option for a third and fourth season the Sixers can pick up. The Sixers are in need of guards as they only have Louis Williams, Willie Green and now Jrue Holiday on the roster. The Andre Miller status as an unrestricted free agent may turn out to be a sign-and-trade deal the Sixers can get on to get something back for losing Miller. At this point it looks like Miller will not be a Sixer. Hopefully the Sixers can pick up an experienced point guard to give Jrue Holiday time to learn the position.
