The Philadelphia 76ers boosted their record to 5-2 after their 97-62 win over the Toronto Raptors. This is their best start to a season since 2000-01 when they bursted out to a 10-0 record.
There was plenty of hype around this team during the offseason. Many believed it was just a marketing ploy to sell tickets, but so far in the young season, the Sixers are proving that they may be for real.
Marc Zumoff and Malik Rose continually say it on air at seemingly every opportunity they have but it's true: every night it is a different Sixer that heats up. From Jrue Holliday to Andre Iguodala and Jodie Meeks to Evan Turner, the Sixers have so many weapons on their team, making it difficult for opposing teams to match up. At any moment, any of these players can get into a rhythm. Meeks showed that last night after he hit a few three-pointers en route to a 21-point night.
