Straight from the “you can’t make this stuff up” files comes news that former New York Knicks great Allan Houston is being sued by a self-proclaimed basketball guru for sabotaging his career through years of negative comments and “trash-talk” to others.
Arthur Rondeau, a “peak performance coach,” is claiming that after helping Houston get out of a shooting slump in 1999, the former Knicks guard promised to help the hoops guru land a job with New York, or another NBA team.
Instead, according to Rondeau, shortly after ending their working relationship in February 2000, Houston sabotaged his career by bad-mouthing him to reporters, and apparently blocked Rondeau from landing a job with the Knicks as late as 2009.
