Tony Parker returned from a cut above the same eye he injured in a nightclub incident last summer and scored 23 points to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 113-107 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night. Parker missed about a quarter in the first half when he took three stitches above his left eye after a collision with Elton Brand on a drive. He nearly lost the eye in June when shards of glass embedded in his cornea after he got caught in a bottle-throwing melee in New York. Tim Duncan stayed home with a sore right knee, but DeJuan Blair made up for his absence by scoring a season-high 22 points. Rodrigue Beaubois led the Mavericks with a season-high 19 points. Dallas cut a 15-point deficit to four in the final minute with mostly reserves on the floor, but Nando De Colo hit two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to end the threat. Parker's head collided with Brand's arm on a drive early in the first quarter, and no foul was called. Parker stayed down alone unde...

Video: DeJuan Blair posterizes the Mavs

Heading into last night's game against the Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs' DeJuan Blair was not getting much time on the court and was relegated to the bench or played in garbage time. Kaman: Stern 'hates' the Spurs

Chris Kaman isn't a player who usually says controversial things, especially when they're thought to be true for years. In an interview with DallasNews.com, Kaman said the commissioner of the NBA, David Stern, "hates" the San Antonio Spurs. When he was asked about fans following players over teams, he responded: “One exception to that is the Spurs...

Spurs-Mavericks Preview

As easily as the San Antonio Spurs have dominated the Dallas Mavericks this season, there's reason to believe this matchup could be different. San Antonio (34...

Friday Night Fantasy Basketball Recap!

Well, it looks like Chris Kaman went, so hopefully this Brand is here to stay! See what I did there? That literally took me over a half hour to dream up. I’m kidding, it just Kaman to me……Ok, so that’s where we’ll draw the line….Elton Brand (8/13/2blk) got the start last night while Chris Kaman (8/3/stl/blk) was moved to a bench role. This should mean very good things...
