San Antonio Spurs
SAN ANTONIO -- The Spurs' blistering showtime offense that was on display most of last season was back with Manu Ginobili leading the way as San Antonio beat the slumping Denver Nuggets 126-100 at the AT&T Center on Saturday night. The Nuggets hung on for a while, trailing only 16-13 with just over four minutes left in the first quarter before the Spurs were able to break free for a 32-point lead early in the second quarter. They were never really challenged the rest of the game. The Spurs actually shot better from long range (16 of 27 for 59 percent) than they did overall (47 of 88 for 53 percent). The 126 points were a season high. Ginobili scored a game-high 20 points off the bench. The Spurs’ veteran guard broke out of the shooting slump that has plagued him this season (37 percent, including only 4 of 24 from 3-point land) by going 5 of 7 from deep and dishing out four assists. He had plenty of help. Danny Green scored 15, hitting 3 of 5 3-pointers, and DeJuan B...

Boxer Floyd Mayweather recently won big on the San Antonio Spurs when he raked in $250,000 (with the Vegas cut) when Danny Green nailed the game-winning three pointer versus the Lakers. Mayweather took to Twitter to brag and thank Green for making him richer, posting photos of the winning bet.
So of course Mayweather took time to thank Green by sending him some "TMT"...

Forward Kawhi Leonard, who was a starter in the San Antonio Spurs' first nine games, will be sidelined 10-14 days because of quadriceps tendinitis in his left knee, the team announced Friday. An MRI exam performed Friday confirmed the diagnosis. Leonard will not be with the Spurs for their six-game road trip, which begins Nov. 21 in Boston. Leonard, a second-year player...
While San Antonio Spurs fans are sweating a brief Kawhi Leonard injury (out 10-14 days according to the Spurs), this injury may be a blessing in disguise for the team to try out more rotations with their abundance of guards. I'm sure head coach Gregg Popovich plays plenty of different lineups against each other during practices, but nothing is like a real NBA game.
Through his 10 years in the NBA, San Antonio Spurs’ Manu Ginobili has won three NBA championships with the Spurs, been named an NBA All-Star, been part of an all NBA team, and even won Sixth Man of the Year once in his career.
Aside from all of his individual achievements, Ginobili might have done something that won’t be found in any record books.
Ginobili may have opened...

Stephen Jackson and the San Antonio Spurs knew they were in for a tough game in the first meeting of the season against the Los Angeles Clippers. They knew the Clippers, although hobbled with injuries last year, were embarrassed of being swept from the playoffs by them.
In a post game interview, after the Spurs handed a loss to the Denver Nuggets, Jackson said tonight's game...
Before last night's game against the New York Knicks, San Antonio Spurs forward Tiago Splitter had been averaging very pedestrian numbers.
Then, in a start against the Lakers, Splitter nearly posted a double-double. Last night against the Knicks, Splitter came alive in the fourth quarter, scoring 13 points in 17 minutes.
“He (Splitter) played well. He played very well...
This ad for H-E-B grocery stores is great. Who knew the trio of Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, and Tim Duncan could be so funny.
The point guard denying entry to the future Hall of Famer and one of my favorite players of all time.
Leave it to Gregg Popovich to get into an exclusive event no problem.

The New York Knicks remain undefeated after beating the San Antonio Spurs last night on the road. However, Raymond Felton was left looking lost after Tony Parker humiliated him with this sick crossover. I remember when the Spurs started winning titles, he was this young guy and he was always on the trade block. Now [...]
